The movie is a classic but the steel case is amazing

Great Movie, Superb Cast..........................

First and foremost, Sicario is a hellava movie. No spoilers here, but if you're into crime and drama films, this is worth checking out immediately. Anyway, Lionsgate has put together an excellent release for Sicario on 4K Blu-ray. The video is superb, with a sharp and detailed image throughout the entire film, identical to the theatrical presentation of the film. It looks great. This is what film lovers want - a presentation as close to the theatrical exhibition as possible. The audio is amazing. Here we get a Dolby ATMOS track that makes explosions sound exhilarating, and dialogue that has excellent clarity. There's also a little overhead and surround sound activity, along with great bass. If you have a surround sound system, this will sound superb. Packaging includes a digital copy (for those who may want to stream the film while away from home), along with a Blu-ray disc. Would have been nice if this had a lot more special features, but it's a good release nevertheless. If you have a good 4K TV, a 4K Blu-ray player, and a surround sound system, you will not be disappointed with this release by Lionsgate. It's awesome and worth adding to your movie collection.

Whether you're a fan of intense thrillers or appreciate top-notch filmmaking, this edition of "Sicario" is an absolute standout and worth adding to your Blu-ray collection.

Sicario had its own charm in the sense that it very well captured the reality of the Mexican cartels and drug wars. But all of that is buried beneath a boring movie with a sub-par story that does not get you engaged. Emily Blunt's character is barely explained and what is explained of her is very vague. Josh Brolin had the most enjoyable role in this entire movie.His witty, on the nose personality shines above the plank of wood that is Emily Blunt's character. Benicio Del Torro, while delivering great acting is smothered with a role that under minds his talent completely. he is silent, has no character progression or explanation as to who he is and no emotions. This movie was a letdown in my eyes and I cannot seem to enjoy it at all.

I bought this movie together with the sequel, since both were discounted. Usually, that's a risky move--especially if I haven't seen the movies. But, the reviews sold me. I have to admit, I had to watch this multiple times since it kept putting me to sleep. That's not a bad thing as it is quite enjoyable if you manage to keep your eyelids open. Emily Blunt and Benicio Del Toro put on a heck of a show--she's Mary Poppins ya'll! It's movies like this that remind you that the folks at Marvel aren't the only ones who can make enjoyable films. Aside from the shoot-em-up action, the slow beats that deal with what the characters are going through make the movie fantastic. The ending is jagged and satisfying.

Seriously, this is an adaptation of Rambo but in contemporary times with a contemporary character (Mexican Widower). It is a loose adaptation but the story telling and sequencing of it all was very well done given the time constraints of what is allowed for a film's running time. You have action, you have a rebel justice story, you have USA secret ops and then a mystery you're piecing together from scene to scene. It is engaging and unique. When I saw this in theaters I had never been in a more quiet theater. The only people who don't enjoy this movie probably don't like action or have a bias against the elements presented. This is refreshing and worth a watch. It is aging well.

The settings. The visuals. The sound. THE MUSIC. This isn't for everyone. Starts gritty and end gritty but it's written and acted well with direction from the one-and-only Denis Villeneuve.

Okay, so I bought a handful of steelbooks, and then they went on sale. But that's when I learned about Best Buy's price matching. I just needed to ask and I got a huge chunk of change refunded. Truly a great store, with great deals, and great steelbooks!

One of the few movies in the past 20 year i can say will be a classic generations will be watching in the future. The acting is top notch, with a beautiful 4k picture and sound. The steelbook compliments the movie so well.

This film is violet and portrays how the US deals with the Mexican Cartels. A select few US "advisors" go into Mexican to kill the heads of different cartels. Emily Blount does a great job as a naïve agent who gets exposed to the life on the border. Benicio Del Toro played an awesome role along with Josh Brolin. It is absolutely gut wrenching movie, so prepare yourself for the violence. The film lends itself to show what life is like on the border for these "advisors."

This movie is great, has amazing FUNNY lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The CGI is so realistic you forget its CGI and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

As is typical with Lionsgate's 4k Steelbook releases, it features amazing art. However, the steelbook arrived somewhat damaged - the slipcover is cracked on the bottom and the case itself doesn't close properly. Not major enough to warrant a return but disappointing nonetheless.

Cool steelbook design and entertaining movie. Good acting cast and interesting plot. Good to have in my collection.

I bought this movie because my friends got the sequel and they are both awesome. If you like guns at least. Not my wife’s cup of tea. I recently watched the goonies again and realized josh brolin is in that and avengers of course. I really don’t like him cause he’s somewhat a prik but I do love to hate him I guess. You definitely should add these movies to your collection.

This girl exposed to the brutality of the Mexican drug cartel, and becomes partners with a defector from the cartel (Benicio Del Toro) who possesses keen knowledge about the organization. As she gets deeper into the ruthlessness and corruption surrounding the FBI sting to find the organizations leaders, her moral and professional boundaries are pushed to their breaking point.
