Good stuff - good expansion to a great game

A Good Expansion
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When the original Beyond Earth came out I was slightly disappointed in the lack of content and experimentation in gameplay. The game stuck too close to Civ V in style and did little to differentiate itself. The lack of character for its factions was also a problem. Rising Tide does a lot to alleviate these issues, though not completely, by adding new mechanics such as movable marine cities and new civilizations. The graphical upgrade does a lot to create a feeling of "alienness" in the new generated maps. I'm hoping they really make a push for a more unique game in free DLC or in another substantial expansion pack.
