Have been a fan of the Civilization series since I got hooked on Civ 2. This is an excellent addition to the Civ Library. It reminds me of Alpha Centauri which was my favorite of the series... now I have a new favorite. There are plenty of dynamics that make this fun for a quick run or an Epic journey. Whether you're looking for an easy Civ building experience or maybe you're a control freak, either way you're set. Multiple paths to victory, non-linear tech tree, and 3 vastly different arch-types make for great replay-ability. I've played through each victory and most of the civs and still like throwing together a quick game or a weekend of strategy.

Has anyone tried using an xBox controller to play this? We love Civ: Revoltions for xBox. I'd like to hook the PC up to the TV and have a similar game play experience. Anyone tried it or is the keyboard needed?

The mechanics of the game are similar to Civ v but with a future style play rather than a play from the past to the future style.

If you've played Civ 5, you've played this game in a very similar skin. Honestly, there is very little different to justify the purchase.
