Just an amazing lens. Sharper than any 85 I’ve ever seen. Super fast so it gets creamy bokeh.

I received my purchased product sooner than I imagined. On recieving it I immediately put the lens to the ultimate test and was extremely satisfied with it's performance. It is a beautiful work of art especially for portraiture. I highly recommend it for general and portraiture photography. GOOD JOB SIGMA!

Sigma lenses are a best kept secret in my opinion. The Art Series offers clarity, sharpness, great bokeh, and it does well with color management.
Perfect for video recording, too! I used this lens to film a keynote address at a conference. Awesome because with 85mm, I was able to set up my tripod behind the viewing audience and still get AMAZING results. Plus, I had plenty of room to oversample in post-production and retain clarity and sharpness.
Just a heads up, this lens is heavy. You'll want to have practice runs to get used to moving around with it. And I definitely recommend buying a heavy-duty tripod if you need it. Using a tripod that isn't able to support the heavier rig will give out soon enough. Also, your gimbal may struggle with this - check the weight of this lens and your camera. Then, check that against your gimbal's weight capacity.

I'm a Nikon photographer and I had a recent accident where I lost my lost my lens down a storm drain. I wanted a replacement but was not ready to drop another $2000 on a Nikon version. I did some research online and a couple of friends highly recommended this lens. And let me tell you this lens is next level!!! even better than Nikon glass. Actually isn't anything close to this lens at this price point. Only flaw with this product is it's heavy weight .

I bought it because is way cheaper than the Nikon option, so far I love it but sometimes it does not autofocus so i did my research and that is the only issue you will have when you do not buy nikon lenses
