A very fine wide angle for sony a6500. Slightly warmer in color tones than the sony 18-135, no visable distortion, and great inside with low light. Yes - a bit bigger than some of the tiny sony lenes, but provides a nice balance with camera and for the money, a best value.

I bought the 30mm before buying this and I don't regret either purchase. The focus ring on this one does work more intuitively then the 30mm. Amazing sharpness, and great in low light. I've used it for everything from street to astro and it's excelled in everything. I use mine with an a6300 and love it. I'm sure the results would be even better with a a6500.

I’m relatively new to understanding all that goes into photography, as in, I didn’t know that to get that wonderful blurred out background, you needed a lens with an f-stop of 1.4 or 1.8 and such. Nor did I “get” the millimeter numbers, but plenty of YouTubers were raging about this particular lens. And OK, now I get it. I can film myself with the lens about a foot in front of me, and it picks up practically the whole room. So great for talking-head videos! And the color and bokeh are amazing! It’s perfect for this use and I’m so glad I got it! The price was pretty reasonable too!

I had a Sony ZV E10 and I didn’t realize the importance of lens. But after I got this I’ll never go back!

It just doesn’t get much sharper, and better for a wide angle lens. This thing is killer for Astro photography and landscape shots. Sigma just creates a high end product for a reasonable cost. Must have for the crop sensor systems.

Wow. This lens provides great quality pictures in low light. The quality of pictures produced with this lens surprisingly challenges those produced from Sony and Zeiss.

Excellent lens, love the f1.4. Its pretty straight forward. If you are unsure - I recommend you look up pictures and video online taken with this. You wont be disappointed.

I purchased this lens at the end of July 2021 and so far, it's been amazing. Not only have I been able to use it for taking photos and videos, but I've been able to use it as a webcam lens with my a6400 and capture card. If you're looking for something just to take photos, I would probably recommend the 30mm, but 16mm is more versatile in my opinion. The 16mm adds wide angle capabilities and webcam use in my scenario.

Have this lens paired with my Sony ZV-E10 for creating YouTube videos. This lens pairs perfectly with the Sony camera and creates awesome looking videos. This lens is highly recommended by YouTube creators and now I know why. Highly recommend this lens!

Great lens for the price, it’s my first wide angle lens and is nice to get that low light wide angle capability

This is the best wide angle lens for sony e mount system. Picture quality is great and build quality is awesome. It is a heavy but that is a sign of craftsmanship I think. I loved this lens. Sadly I had to sell as I switched over to fuji but still kept my A73. Sigma just released the same lens for fuji system so I am going to re-buy this. Build quality, picture quality, easy of use.

I've had this lens for 8 months. Beautiful quality, nice bokeh. I use it with my ZV-E10. If you are looking at it for a Sony camera, save your money and just buy the body. This is a must buy IMO.

This lens is awesome for portraits. I watched and read many reviews before I decided to get the 16mm Sigma for my A6500. It is one of the most highly recommended lenses for the E Mount cameras and is part of the so called Trifecta of best lenses Sigma put out. Super image quality across the board. Highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed with this wide lens.
