I had all of the Cary Grant movies except My Favorite Wife and that is why I purchased this set. My Favorite Wife (1940 B/W) with Irene Dunne was the original movie that was later remade as Move Over Darling with Doris Day in 1963. I like My Favorite Wife better because of the chemistry between Dunne and Grant and I think it is a better screenplay, and the acting is better. Grant thinks his wife (Dunne) has drowned in a boating accident, when she shows up very much alive five years later just before he is about to marry another woman. Night and Day (1946 Color) with Alexis Smith is about the life and music of Cole Porter. It has a seemingly endless cast of Golden Age of Hollywood stars singing Porter's songs. Between the great songs, screenplay, locations, costumes, and stars, it is quite wonderful. The Bachelor and The Bobby-Soxer (1947 Color) has fun chemistry between Grant and Myrna Loy and Grant and teenager Shirley Temple along with a hilarious plot and top-notch supporting characters. Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948 B/W) shows Grant and Myrna Loy in fine comedic form in a story about things that can go wrong with finding and building a dream house. Melvyn Douglas and Louise Beavers are engaging supporting cast members.

If you like Cary grant you will like this. Would rather have 4 comedy's. No extra or bonus features included.

Fun collection that includes three of Cary Grant's best comedic roles. He and Myrna Loy are a great team in both Bachelor & Bobbysoxer and Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, and My Favorite Wife with Irene Dunne and Randolph Scott is fun, classic screwball comedy. Including Night and Day in the set is a surprising choice; while has a solid supporting cast, the fictionalized biopic doesn't have much of a plot and moves very slowly. Would have preferred a fourth comedy, but the three in the set still make it a good value.

The transfers are not the best I've seen but they are pretty darn good and not just for the moolah! Two words. Kinda. Sorta. (1) CARY (2) GRANT "My Favorite Wife" is a big favorite of mine as is "The Bachelor and the Bobbysoxer". "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dreamhouse" is another "Gary Granite" (ala "The Flintstones"!) favorite of mine. "Night and Day" is good (it's about Cole Porter) but not exactly a favorite because oddly enough I've never seen more than a few minutes of it. Highly recommended? I also sent a set to my brother and his wonderful wife, so... Yuppers! Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

Great collection of classic Cary Grant. Can’t go wrong.
