This is a gift for my BBF for 59 years we love old movies. I know she is going to love watching these DVDs especially since sc he doesn't has cable ed at the moment.

This series of The Thin Man is so much fun. The humor is slick & smart. Myrna Loy (Nora) & William Powell (Nick) are perfectly cast as they play off each other with that smart humorous banter. There’s an underlying mystery theme to the movies, as Nick is a private eye in the series. There’s a little sidekick dog, Asta, who adds cute comedy. Great family movies.

Bought these for my Mother In Law because she's a huge fan of the series. This a good collection for the price, however there's room for improvements. The picture quality for the movies is good enough - the DVD format limits it though. I realize these are old movies, but an HD Blu Ray version would be welcomed. Also, for some reason the last movie "Song of the Thin Man" is missing from this collection, a puzzling decision, which makes this an incomplete collection in my opinion. However, for someone who wants to own the first four movies, this a good choice - for some reason, the Thin Man movies sold separately are ridiculously expensive, and I have no idea why. So go ahead and get this if you want to save money and don't mind the DVD format.

Terrific movies. These set the tone for fun mysteries and earn the right to be called classics. They're fun and don't take themselves so seriously like modern movies. The characters are terrific and the movies will keep you guessing until the reveals. Powell and Loy are terrific together. My only gripe is the lack of any supplements, but getting 4 of the 6 films at this price makes it more of a quibble.

Nice way to get a great movie series.A valuable addition to my collection

I remember watching these movies with my dad years ago. They really brought back good memories. These movies are the perfect example of murder mysteries and they're great comedies too! They just don't make them like this anymore. The value for the box set was great too!

This collection has 4 of the 6 thin man movies from the series. William Powell and Myrna Loy are a magical screen combination which only gets better with Asta and little Nicky in adorable support roles.

I love a good detective story. The Thin Man series is epic. Lots of intrigue, laughs, and surprises. I wish they still made movies like this!

Myrna Loy and William Powell, two icons of the 30's, 40's and beyond. The chemistry of these 2 stars is amazing. They maintained it even over the span of 13 years for the 6 movies.

These movies are great. Suspenseful and funny at the same time...great chemistry between Powell and Loy, and Asta always steals the show. Enjoy!

A day of watching the thin man solve murders in a comedic way will have you laughing all day long

I wish I were able to but the giant box, but buying them like this and individually didn't hurt. I love these movies.
