First off, it's called a Richard Pryor/Gene Wilder movie but be warned, Pryor doesn't show up until the movie is half over. Granted the 2nd half they're basically a team but be patient, he will eventually make his appearance. Sadly as society keeps advancing we're less and less likely to see great old world transportation movies. That means less train movies, less ocean liner movies and things that were pretty common prior to the 90s. The plot is good, the setting, while limited, adds to the overall feel of the movie. Gene Wilder is great as usual. Some complain about the picture quality but on an HDMI to HD TV setup @ 1080p I didn't have any complaints. It might not be the cleanest HD transfer ever but you aren't exactly paying the Criterion price for a full restoration either. If you like train movies, comedies or even suspense movies you should at least get some enjoyment out of it!

Silver Streak has always been a favorite. Not slickly done like most of today's high tech computer graphic god awful movies it had to rely on writing and performance. First movie I noticed Richard Pryor in. Nothing over the top but likable. Wilder gives a subdued performance and Clayburgh was a girl you'd like to know. Everyone in the movie did their role well. I haven't talked of story line or plot. Watch the movie and decide for yourself. if you miss all the high tech stuff well....

I really enjoyed this movie when I first saw it in 1976 when I was in the Marine Corps. It's a drama-comedy with a great cast, wonderful music, and a simple story. If you haven't seen it, I think you would really enjoyed it. With that said, it's a good looking Blu-ray with good image and sound. It has no extras, menu, anything. Just the movie. Put the disc in, it starts playing. Movie gets to the end, restarts. I believe I purchased it for six dollars, and for that, I'm very happy with it. And since I've always wanted to own it, having it on Blu-ray means I finally got it.

Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder pair up in this comedy classic combining a romantic escapade with a Hitchcockian murder mystery. The adventure takes a railroad passenger from seeking an interlude with a sultry secretary to fending off murderous henchmen and FBI agents. His only help is a small-time crook who aids him as they try to get out of the mess their in on the Silver Streak.

Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor are great. I have always enjoyed their movie pairings, although Stir Crazy is my favorite. This is a great comic, mystery, romance, intrigue movie. I keep coming back to it from time to time. The language reflects the time and may be disturbing to some, but the overall show is wonderful.

To me this is one of Gene Wilder's top 5 movies. He and Richard Pryor are fantastic in Silver Streak. Unfortunately there no special features and it is a very cheap release by Anchor Bay. both these legendary funny men deserve a lot better. But this movie is a must own for any movie collector's collection.

Yes, it is kind of tame for Pryor and WIlder but for whatever reason, I've always liked this movie. It perhaps has to do with the childhood memories (I remember my parents bought this on VHS for $100 when it first came out and we watched it/quoted it religiously). My how times have changed.

A burnt-out book editor takes a train from LA to Chicago to be "bored". Instead, he finds murder, deception, and a "hot" secretary. OK, so it's "dated"! It's STILL lots of fun with Gene Wilder, Richard Pryor, Jill Clayburgh, Patrick MvGoohan, Ned Beatty, and a host of other recognizable actors in "bit" parts. What more do you WANT?

I saw this movie many years ago and remembered the humor. I found it online on DVD and had been waiting for a better price when I found it on bluray at Best Buy at a very good price and immediately snatched it up. I have always enjoyed Gene Wilder and Richard Prior and they don't disappoint here.

Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder are absolutely amazing in this film. No need to worry about spoilers here. The only spoiler is you not buying this film. You can't go wrong with this film, or any film, that features Richard Pryor AND Gene Wilder.

Pryor and Wilder made several films together. This one stands out to me as their best. There aren't any special features to speak of, but this movie isn't prominent on the streaming sites so I'd recommend adding it to your blu ray collection.

Don't know or think young people can appreciate this kind of movie that came out mid 70s. But anyone open-minded to variety kinds of comedy movies that came out since then will get some laughs from this entertaining movie. Give it a try and a chance to make you laugh.

The product was fantastic and the DVD made seeing an older adventure great. Richard P and Gene W are my favorites and to see this adventure was very nicely put together for the price . This DVD has gone into my collection

This goes hand in hand with Stir Crazy as being my favorite on screen pair up of Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. Their comic genius is present in every single scene. A joy to revisit and the blu looks lovely!

This is a classic comedy starring Richard Pryor and gene wilder. Wonderful action humor and interesting plot. The characters are well drawn. I have watch this many times and it is still funny each time.

This is one of those movies that will stand the test of time. Gene and Richard are at there very best . Also a great supporting cast, this is a fun movie and the DVD go's right into the movie no trailers. I like that.

One of Gene Wilder's best...even Richard Pryor's not as much screen time is worth seeing. A must own for vintage comedy fans.

Gene wilder and Richard Pryor at their best. A fun comedy reminiscent of the golden years of Hollywood. It's a romantic comedy on and off a train. Lots of fun!

Saw this movie a long time ago, but with the recent passing of Gene Wilder I wanted to see it again. So glad I did. He and Richard Pryor are hilarious!

I was so excited when this came out on Blu-ray that I had to buy it. This movie is a riot. The color is vibrant and crystal clear video.
