I absolutely love this game. You have to lay out your city carefully and really plan it. Power lines, electricity, roads, water, houses, commercial areas everything. I've really enjoyed it. It would be hard for younger kids because you have to understand your incoming revenue and outgoing revenue. Gets a little more involved.

if you grew up with the sim city franchise and enjoyed it you will like this game. the goal of the game is you are the mayor of a city starting out, you have to develop the city with residential, commercial and industrial zones, you also have to provide transportation systems, water lines, electric lines to provide your city with water, power and ways to travel back an fourth. as simple as it sounds it does require some thought in how to develope a prosperous city and also to what ratio to build the different zones in (ie too many houses and not enough work is bad) the game is fun if you enjoy building simulations and can be very challengind, i have alsways enjoyed the sim city franchise and it is still fun to toy with after all the years it has been around.

I believ that this is a good game for ds it probably wouldn't be much fun for the younger players but for a few of the older ones it show just how much can go into a city.

I hate to be negative, but this game is not good on the DS system. On the PC, THE SIMS game is okay, because you see the people. On the DS however, you don't.. you see teeny weeny specs running around, AND they are not running around like on the PC in response to what YOU do, but because it is programmed to do that.. i.e., the railroad tracks I built had trains running on them, but there were NO people in my town. There were people on them, but the chart said I had no people.
I thought it would be a fun diversion, but there's really not much to it at all.
The graphics don't interpret well onto the DS system because of the size of the characters. I like to see the effects, but you can't because they are so very miniscule.
