Disappointed

Ended up using the remaining items but the doorbell (my primary purpose for getting this) became useless and is sitting in the box.

No Cell Service

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product because I owned a vacant rental property and it was being vandalized, so I was looking for an intimidate solution, and one that did not require me to install internet service at my property. This was advertised that way. Once I called customer service to start the monitoring, they told me the system has an old cell phone card, and that they would need to mail me a new one. The card never arrived and the criminals kept breaking in until I finally got it rented two weeks later no thanks to SimplySafe. Do not buy if you need to use it as a stand alone system without wifi.

Don't buy the door bell - it is poorly designed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The doorbell can't connect directly to the base station like the other items so it needs to connect directly to the internet itself - and if it loses the connection to wifi - either by itself or if the electricity goes out or your ISP service goes out then you have to manually reset to get it to connect to the internet again and to do this you have to use a tiny screw driver to remove it from the installed base - after less than a month with power outages and small flickers and the ISP service being down I've stripped the small screw on the doorbell so now it is just a dumb door bell with no camera. Very poorly designed. My recommendation is not to buy.
