Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the sound quality and appearance of the Simulated Rock Outdoor Speakers, frequently praising how well they blend into their landscaping and exceed expectations. While some wish for more bass and longer wires, many appreciate the speakers' weather resistance and ease of installation. The reasonable price point is also a recurring positive comment.

I was looking for something inexpensive to quickly install on my front walk and driveway to greet guests during the holiday season. I ended up buying some green spaceship looking things from Amazon, which consisted of two full range coaxial speakers, each inside a 360 degree sound dispersing enclosure, and a subwoofer in an identical enclosure. The three pieces ran me about $300. It was awful. The sound quality was poor, the bass was weak to the point that I wouldn't even call it a subwoofer, and my wife thought they were ugly, to which I agreed with her. I really liked the rock looking speakers but finding inexpensive ones concerned me, as I didn't want something cheap looking with similar sound quality as the spaceships. I looked at the Niles and Stereostone ones, but was reluctant to spend $1000 on them. I stumbled upon these, read the reviews, and took a chance, and boy am I glad I did. The first pair I put in to service the driveway, where there are no real high shrubs to hide the spaceships, and I was so impressed, I bought another pair, and ripped the spaceships out. In the end, the whole deal cost me $550, which in my eyes is still a bargain, even if I had only bought 4 speakers, but I have 7. I'll try to recoup my losses on the spaceships, so I can buy more of these rocks for the back yard, to go along with my Niles GSS10 in ground sub I got for Christmas.

I bought these on sale which was nearly half off. At the price I paid, I didn't expect the world, but was pleasantly surprised. The frequency range makes them a little light on the bass. This wasn't too big an issue for me since I'm putting in ground subwoofers. I purchased 2 pairs placed in the corners of my yard with a sub in between each pair. First time I fired it up, I was really surprised at how nice they sounded. Good highs, nice mids, a little tweaking on the crossover and now the blend real nice with the subs. Don't hesitate on buying these. I'm very happy with the performance. They look to be nicely constructed. Only had them up and running for about a month now but definitely no regrets here.

I purchased these for my backyard pool area. They are powerful enough to be heard from the front of the house. The kids also love them because they are hidden in the yard.

After reading reviews on many different outdoor speakers I decided to go with these for my back yard/patio area and am very glad that I purchased them. The sound is very crisp and clean with these and they even give you a good amount of bass. They blend in well with the landscaping as well.

I think the sound is better than expected for the price. You're not going to fill a large outdoor area with high volume deep bass sound. They are not designed for that. I picked these up on a BB daily deal. Only real complaint is that one of the speakers has a chip which exposes the inner layer of product and I don't know if this compromises the weatherproof feature. Will likely exchange.

"Alright Alright Alright".. I bought these speakers when they were $59.99 and not the "$99.99" price. I have to say I am really impressed with these speakers, all my guest were impressed too and now they want to buy a couple for their yards. Don't let the name brand fool you, I had the same misjudgment on these, and I was hesitant at 1st, even at $59.99. I believed these were going to be "filler" speakers, in the other words, background music. As soon as I connected these bad boys, they began tumping, I mean you could hear decent low sounds, bass was there but not overwhelming, and the vocals were easily understandable. I was playing house music and pitbull station on pandora. I didn't have them turned up all the way, in some moments I had to lower it because I was afraid the neighbors were going to complain that there was a dance club in my back yard. These do look like rocks and easily get lost in they yard next to trees, bushes, other rocks, grass, and other such landscaping. Insignia did a good job with these speakers. I have the Insignia bluetooth stereo running these speakers, NS-STR514. I highly recommend both items together. The speakers won't let you down, I promise you'll be happy with your purchase even at the higher price. I since then bought another pair and plan on running two speakers per channel at 4 ohms. (These are 8 ohms speakers).

This is the second set of these speakers I have purchased for my backyard. I expanded my rock garden so added this set for surround sound on the patio. The first set has been outside for four years through heavy rains and snow with no issues. The color will fade over time, but nothing a $7 can if stone paint won't fix. No degradation in sound quality after four years. For the price I would recommend to anyone.

I bought these at half off during a one-day sale in the winter. After recently reconfiguring my patio space, I have been using these for the last month or so. For the price, I think they sound really good though admittedly mine are usually competing with some background noise (e.g. distant traffic) so I wouldn't be able to appreciate higher quality sound anyway. I added 50' of underground wire to each (placed in a PVC conduit) so I could connect them through a window to a receiver in my sunroom. I wish the gauge of the included wire was a little more robust. I bought 14 gauge wire as an add on but these seem to come with 16 or 18 gauge. The paint seems a little glossy and unnatural and I found it a little hard to get a good match from a pile of other natural stones at a landscaping place. Still, for the price I recommend them highly. I might pick up a second pair when they are on sale again just so I might be able to replace these 4 or 5 years down the road. I've spent $50 before on stuff that gave me far less satisfaction than these!

This wasa perfect find - Needed to add a couple of speakers around the pool area. Decent sound and pretty crisp. Don't expect much bass but not as issue as I have a sub in the patio area. Cable provided was not long enough - was not a problem. Daisy chained both speakers and works perfect. Too soon to tell how it withstands the outdoor elements. $69 for 2- great deal.

I haven't had much time to review the speakers, and I haven't tried them outside. From looking at them, they seem as though they should be weather resistant. They sound nice for a pair of rocks. They come with pigtails extending out of the bottoms, and the box includes a 50 foot piece of speaker wire. Includes four wire nuts, so you are expected to split the length of wire into two sections and then connect each length between the stereo and one of the speakers.

These speakers are an incredible value for the money. (I paid less than $50.00 for a set of 2!) I have purchased six pairs of them and the sound is amazing for their size. I have a huge outdoor area with 8 separate speaker areas. I have used these little speakers to replace $250.00 speakers and their performance and sound, even the bottom end is amazing. I have had them now for three months and continue to buy more as they amaze me. Tip: for great sound use two of these speakers versus one for each channel. Hook them up together as one and you will be amazed. The price of two of them together is still way cheaper than one larger speaker and the sound is awesome!

We bought this for our backyard and my husband is a little hesitant but I fell inlove with the unique rock design and color . we listened to the quality of the sound and it wasn't bad so we bought it. We did not regret it at all. It looks so great in the backyard and the quality of the sound is awesome. Our friends loved it when we invited them for a cookout. Our niece had a good remark and cracked us out .."your music rocks" literally ;). You will never notice where the sound is coming as we had it sit in the closed to our concrete plant boxes . I would recommend this specially if you need to impress some friends .

Was looking for a good sounding pair of speakers to enjoy while grilling and relaxing in the back yard. These speakers fit the bill! I wasn't looking to spend big money or turn my yard into a high end theater room and shatter my neighbors windows. These speakers surprise you with a good sound and volume. Not only do they sound great for the price but you would think they cost more after hearing them. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Price to Performance Ratio Can't Be Beat

I purchased this set of rock speakers for our backyard. We have a smaller patio (~25' x 10'), and an average-sized backyard. Ran 16 gauge speaker wire to inside the house, connected to our whole-home audio system. For around $100/pair, you can't beat these. Mid's and high's are pretty well replicated, and they get fairly loud. There's not much on the low end, but I didn't expect much.

These aren't Bose speakers to be sure.....so if you're an Audiophiliac.....stay clear and save your money! But if you want a solid performing product with very acceptable sound jump in feet 1st!!!! if your wish is to stream symphony concerts in your backyard , you may be a bit disappointed. I paired these with a Sonos Connect Amp and I'm living the dream!!!! Used my saved cash to buy high end speakers and Amps for my home theater! "Stay entertained my friends"!

Have had these speakers for about a month. Very pleased. They have a great rich sound, plenty of bass, and plenty of volume. I had contemplated getting an outdoor bluetooth speaker for my deck but glad I decided on these as they are much fuller, stereo, and less expensive than bluetooth portables.

This product install was simple. The rocks sound great around our campfire. The wires are long but not quite long enough for our needs. We did have to buy additional wire. But we really were going a long distance from the receiver to our campfire.
