I enjoyed the movie Sin City because it is presented in black and white with a gritty city feel. It transports you to a different and new place in time and engages your inner tough side. The storylines connect and flow into each other as the movie moves forward in a steady manner. The characters are different and unique but display some basic life qualities and emotions like honor, loyalty, attitude, justice, cruelty, love and revenge. The way that these qualities are displayed will hold your attention especially if you are a graphic book fan.

I saw this movie in its original cut years ago, and from what I remember wasn't all that impressed with it. With the release of a sequel (ten years later, what's up with that?) an, having read a couple of the graphic novels I decided to watch this recut version of the original film. It was better than I remembered, though I had to look online to see how the connecting stor is s had been restructured. It is a visually attention grabbing film, reminiscent of old noir films in some ways but definitely a product of cgi film making. I liked it the second go round. The price was right and the ultraviolet copy is an added bonus.

I gave the movie 3 stars as it has great visuals but found the story and pace of the movie a bit lacking. But for fans of great visuals highly recommended

So many years later, Sin City is still an amazing feat of movie-making. With some of the most deliciously over-the-top performances in movie history, Sin City is a veritable who's-who of the four corners of Hollywood. It's disgusting, vulgar, and so much glorious fun. Robert Rodriguez's respect for the source material shines in every frame, and it's a respect that grounds and centers the movie, but doesn't squash its potential.

Frank Miller brings his neo-noir graphic novel to life in the film adaption of Sin City. This is an ultra-violent film filled with good guys and bad guys who sometimes straddle that line. The Blu-ray is a pristine presentation of the film, offering different cuts of the film to enjoy. The incredible atmosphere is shown off beautifully in 1080p, as is the reference level lossless 5.1 audio. For fans of the film, at this price, it's about all you could ask for. Even as a blind buy you could do a lot worse.

The version recieved by me was the standard BD release, not "uncut unrated". The movie is great. The truest comic-book-to-screen movie I've ever seen. If you don't own the graphic novels, pick them up and look along while watching the movie. WIth exception of portions of the stories that were left out, every frame in the book appears on the screen. Narration follows narration in the book. Truely fabulous.

I love frank miller's graphic comics gritty take on reality. I held off watching this one for a long time as I generally find books to be better but as I build my blue ray collection I decided to give it a try. It exceeded my expectations. It was entertainment, not in a traditional genre; I like movies with an edge and don't follow a scripted formula. This movie delivers!

In the recent wave of comic-book action films, only a handful transcend their genre to achieve the status of just great films. Sin City is one of those. "Noir" is an understatement as a description of this excellent adaptation, in terms of its visuals, as well as its plot and setting. The extreme, stylized violence may turn off some. Superb picture and audio quality. A reference release.

I bought this to replace a copy on DVD since I had converted to Blu-ray. Not only was this a different edition of the film, it came with extras my original copy did not have. The film looks even cooler in high definition blu-ray. Add the feature where you can watch the film in chronological order with deleted scenes and it almost becomes a whole new movie.

I missed this movie when it first came out. It just seemed like another action movie. Not that anything was wrong with that. There was just so much else out there to see. So I passed on it. When the sequel was announced, I decided to give it a try. Boy, was I miffed that I didn't see this sooner. It's a lot of fun! If you like comic book movies, or any of Robert Rodriguez's previous work, you will like this.

This is one of the most original films I have ever seen. The black and white and color photography is amazing. Mickey Rourke gives the performance of his life. As always, Bruce Willis is outstanding, and the rest of the cast is good as well. Some of the scenes are quite violent and graphic and disturbing. Other than that, I like everything about this film.

If you're looking for a movie to show off your home theater this is a great one. The colors on Blu ray are stellar! This story is difficult to follow if you are not familiar with the comics but none the less is very entertaining. If you don't mind not having a connection between the different stories this is a great movie for any guy that likes comics and action!

The newest Sin City is out but this is the original. The first. The absolute best. Mickey Rourke is great and Jessica Alba is stunning. But the winner is the film. Great use of CGI and camera placement. The ultimate mix of light and dark. And the all inspiring use brilliant stories and crazy characters. Bravo.

Miller, Roderiguez and Tarantino combined their talents to create an amazing film .It's a comic book vividly brought to life. The special effects are outrageous and over-the-top, just as they should be. It's fun to be drawn into a fantasy world that's full of action, suspense and death-defying feats.

Sin City is an all time classic and brings together some of the best directors in the business in Rodriguez and Tarantino. The story is woven between different perspectives and is very unique in storytelling. One of the best comic book movies there is.

I like it when Best Buy has these awesome deals on bluray. It helps build my collection, get movies I like, and allow me a chance to watch movies I wanted to see but never got a chance to. This movie, if you're looking for it, you already know it's good. I got this on sale for an awesome price though!

Sin City has always been on of my favorites and this is an awesome steel case book. Different stories all told together to form one complete story may seem usual by today standard but it was not common when this came out. Very much worth watching

This is a funny silly film made even funner because it's now in 4K UHD. 4K is the future if you don't have it you need to get on the ball seriously. Best picture and sound you can possibly get.

A great adaptation of the graphic novels by the same name. Very entertaining and gritty stories weaved together make up this great start to the frank miller franchise. I'm very excited for the long awaited next sin city movie coming out this year, hopefully it is as good as this was.

Ok movie shot with an artistic view. Entertaining!
