Great machine! I think those that are having issues, aren’t setting the proper tensions. If I could sew marine vinyl on it, it can handle a lot. The walking foot is amazing. It took a bit to get used to all of the features and digital screen. I just took notes for my settings for future reference. It will reset when you turn it off. So, if you are sewing the same material for several days, take notes or pic of the screen to refer to. I still did a test strip at the beginning of each day.

I bought a BROTHER sewing machine in May of 2020 from Walmart and the main gear went out 6 months later in November 2020.. I notified them and needless to say I’m stuck with it.. I did lots of research this time and purchased Singer sewing machine with a 25 year warranty.. So far I’m very pleased and I’m confident that its performance will continue with what I use it for..

WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE, I JUST PURCHASED THIS MACHINE ON SEPTEMBER 16TH OF 2021 AND ONLY USED IT A FEW TIMES BEFORE IT STARTED GIVING PROBLEMS, RIGHT NOW THE GEAR IS STUCK, IT WON’T SEW, THE THREAD KEEPS GETTING CAUGHT AND BALLING UP A WHOLE LOT OF THREAD WHILE THE CLOTH STAYS IN THE SAME POSITION NOT MOVING EVEN IF I TRY TO PULL IT WHILE BENEATH THE PRESSER FOOT, THE BOTTOM THREAD WON’T EVEN DRAW UP TO MEET THE TOP THREAD WHEN DRAWING THE BOBBIN THREAD, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT IS BARELY A MONTH SINCE I BOUGHT THIS MACHINE AND I JUST HAVE IT SITTING THERE ON MY MACHINE STAND, I WILL BE RETURNING IT AS I HAVE UNTIL NOVEMBER 16TH TO DO SO, I HAD A MACHINE WHICH I PURCHASED FROM SINGER OVER 20 YEARS AGO AND IT ONLY GAVE WAY A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, IT WAS MANUAL SO I DECIDED TO GET THIS COMPUTERIZED GARBAGE. WHYYYYYYYY, SMH

WOW!!! The description of this product online does not begin to capture a fraction of the features. It can do pretty much anything. Very simple to use. I used to have a brother now I cannot imagine not having a singer! It is rather heavy, worth every ounce as there really isn't anything that you cannot do on the sewing machine. Super price, I didn't expect the many bonus features!

I was so excited to get this and very disappointed when using it. threads tangle, it makes bad noises and can’t handle most fabrics. Not happy at all

As a quilter I love all the wonderful stitch designs offered on this machine. Very easy to learn to operate. Good price point for people on a budget who can't afford the $1k up machines.

This machine delivers lots of easy-to-use features for a very reasonable price. I look for a great bang for the buck with respect to any good or service that I purchase, and this sewing machine more than meets the threshold!

I haven't sewed in over 20 years, but this machine makes everything a breeze! It is not the base model but something in the middle of that and the higher-end machines. Growing up around Grandma and Aunts that sewed with Singer power machines--this is not a power machine, but it suits my standard sewing needs completely. Of course, like everyone else out there due to COVID-19, I bought a sewing machine because I prefer to sew my own face masks instead of paying $16-$20 for a mask that may not arrive until 2 months from now. This machine allows me to sew masks that fit my face and my family's faces more comfortably since this will be the new norm for us until a vaccine is developed. I tried buying some masks online, but they either pulled/hurt my ears or didn't fit our faces properly. Threading the needle on the machine and learning to thread the bobbin is always a chore and different on every sewing machine, but this machine has helpful tools that make threading the needle and bobbin so easy! A lot less complicated than the older Singer machines that I originally learned how to sew on. I knew it had different stitch options going into this purchase, but I really just use the standard#1 stitch. These are the special buttons that make my life easier now that I am sewing again: threading the bobbin button, backstitch button...there is even a button to cut the thread! I enjoy the LED light on my new machine as well. I didn't realize it came with a carrying/cover case that I am able to stash my manual and small supplies in, but I was very pleased because I thought I would have to buy one separately. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase from Best Buy! Same dependable Singer I grew up with, too:)

This machine makes sewing fun! Super smooth operation and features abound! My wife and I both love to use it and we no longer take our clothes to the local seamstress!

Gave this as a gift to my brother in law and he is very appreciative. He said the machine is so easy to operate and runs very smoothly.

To say that I am a beginner, is an understatement. I have never used a sewing machine before, but always wanted to, so decided to give it a go. The machine arrived quickly and safely packed, and I had it functioning properly in about thirty minutes. The instruction book and graphics are user friendly. A generous amount of accessories are included, and I am very happy with the purchase, and Best Buys shopping experience.

Very fast machine. Pretty easy to use. I had a little trouble with the needle threading, but finally figured it out.

This is best the purchase I ever made for myself. I taught myself how to sow in it and made blankets and pillows for all my loved ones for Christmas. They enjoyed them even more knowing I made then rather then buying them.

Price, ease of use, all make this a perfect machine for many projects.
