Enough has already been written about the movie itself. This is a timeless classic and still retains its charms 60 years later. The question: is this package worth it? The extras on the second disc are very nice, and include two worthwhile documentaries: a PBS documentary on the Arthur Freed unit and a documentary on the making of the movie. As with other sets, there's the bulky, but very nice packaging. There's also a very classy mini-hardcover book and an umbrella (!). The umbrella seems a bit excessive to me, but everything else is worthwhile. If you are a fan AND a movie collector, I would recommend this set. Otherwise, just go for the single disc version.
