Purchased this set up for our oldest daughter's 5th birthday. She loves it! Love the ability to hook it up to our TV in the living room - great for visual, but also better sound. It's also nice because you can use the sound on the actual karaoke machine itself in tandem with the TV. Also like the ability to separately control vocal volume and total volume on the machine. My daughter sings as if she's actually trying to eat the microphone making her voice 12x louder than necessary - this helps control that. The lights are a nice added effect. Nothing mind-blowing, but cool nevertheless. Last, but not least, LOVE the fact that I can hook up my iPhone and play music through the machine that way and my daughter can sing along to any song she wants. I just hook it up through Spotify and pick her flavor of the week and off she goes singing along. Obviously, there aren't any words that pop up on the screen, but this has proven to be the best option for her as her song requests change with the weather. This also saves from having to purchase lots of Karaoke CD's. One word of advice, I would either 1) purchase a wireless microphone or 2) purchase a longer RCA/Component cord to hook up to your TV/monitor. We've already had one accident where she pulled the entire machine off our TV stand dancing around and singing. Everything still works, but certainly provided a scare. All in all, great machine for the price. Would recommend to others who are looking for a basic system w/capabilities to hook up to TV as well as add iPhone, iPad, etc for other tunes.

Great singing machine, love the controls on the front, you can raise or lower the key that the song is in so it's easier to singalong with. Cool visual effects on the front. the only complaints I have is that the speaker is on the back so it's not projected out and forward to the audience. Not really a problem when it's attached to a tv, then it uses the tv speakers. also the microphone that it comes with is pretty lightweight and cheap feeling, though the sound is okay. I would recommend buying the PylePro Dynamic Microphone to accompany this product, its heavy duty and feels professional, and it comes with a stand! and its only like $30.

We got this a couple of weeks ago for our 8-year-old's birthday. It works great- very easy to figure out and the sound is good. The included CD has some very generic kid's songs which are fine but not as fun as hooking it up to the iPad and using karaoke songs on YouTube! Quality is reasonable for the price. Overall a good value.

Purchased this for our 5yr old daughter as she loves to sing and "put on shows". She loves it! One of my favorite things is how easy it is to hook it up to our current surround sound system as well as hook up an iPad or mobile phone for songs on Spotify, YouTube, etc. Only reason it didn't get a perfect 5 stars is I wish the mic cord was a little longer. She's already yanked it off our TV stand twice. At least we know it's durable. Not the end of the world, but just our personal preference. Would still purchase again though!
