This is a very nice radio. It has good sound and is portable. However the batteries do not last long so bring extras if you go to the beach or some other place where you want music. One other thing to remember is that this radio will not work without a signal from above. I can deal with these two minor cons to get the music that I do so enjoy!

This boombox is a great addition to a receiver. The sound quality is great for a boombox. It is easy to move from one location to another. The only complaint is the antenna included. It is very sensitive on picking up a signal. Eventhough, I would recommend this boombox to anyone.

I got the boombox thinking how great it would be to listen to sirius at home and not just in the car. It paid off. i listen to it so much more now that i can take inside. Makes the cost more worth it!!! I didnt know when i got it that it has a sub...which means it has 2 tweeters, 2 midrange, and a sub.... but im so glad it does!!! i have used it at home for almost a year now but i do have to say that disconnecting it and reconnecting it for camping and such has caused it to have issues with the anntanea staying connected

I bought this as a present for my wife for Christmas. She listens to it every day and absolutely loves it. She enjoys it as much as, if not more than, the 42" plasma TV I got her last year. I'm going to need to get the outside antenna to go with it so she can get better reception in bad weather but that is the only problem I can see. Very good value for the money.

I bought this for my wife, and boy this thing rocks! Great Sound for a small boombox! Reception is great, I have been using the unit in the house close to a window but the antenna is still on its built in storage and I get almost 100% signal! This is a great purchase and will help get the most of your subscribtion. By the way channel 20 OCTANE Rocks!!! Check it out.

all i can say is WOW! i use this all around my house and outside and nothing beats the quality. it has an aux port, but you will never need to use it b/c sirius is the best!! i recommend this to anyone who loves to carry their music with them and be heard

This is a great Boombox I bought my girlfriend and myself each a sportster 5 for use in the home and on the go. I got her this boombox and it is great, great volume, batteries last awhile. We took it in the backyard with us To listen to while we were in the pool.( not the radio haha) and swam for about an hour, Radio Never shut off, batteries are still good in it as far as i know, Sounds great, Great volume, yea i already said it but thats how good it is it also has its own antena rest, and comes with its own antena, which is sweet Highly recomended for sirius fans I am probably going to get myself one tommorow for tailgating at football.

I purchased this boom box to compliment our tailgating experience. It uses (8) eight D-sized batteries. Once I turned it on for the first time and cranked up the volume, I was surprised that literally 5-8 minutes later it turned itself off. It used the batteries that fast. The sound is incredible....it sounds better on the boom box than in my car (I have the Sportster 4). I do recommend this product to someone who will leave it plugged up or if you have a converter.

We love the Sirius Boombox. The sound is great, very light weight for portabililty....I would DEFINATLY recommend it!

this is a great system. I bought it to use while i was working at a summer camp so my sirius wasn't just sitting in the car. the sound quality is great and when the power was cut off because of hurricane Ike it was nice to have to plug in the radio and have the weather channel and music. i would recommend this to anyone who has or is planning on getting sirius

I recently went on a trip to Virginia to visit family and friends. My friend had the portable boom box for his sirrius radio. The boom box sound so great. I was very impressed. I will purchase one for my son. He doesn't drive, but I will definately buy it just for his room. I will recommend it to everyone I know.

I live in a small town so you would think Satellite Radio is the way to go but I am unable to place the radio anywhere in my house. It currently sits on the second floor next to a window. I have looked online and it says that I should get a fixed antenna to help, to me it wasn't so much a Plug and Play. I worked on the antenna for about 1 hour before figuring out where in my house I could use the radio. I am going to try the Fixed Antenna and maybe the repeater which will allow me to move the radio anywhere in my house. Other than that. I love the sound quality! The boombox itself is a nice liitle addition to your satellite radio, works AWESOME outside!

I use this unit for at least eight hours everyday and it works great and provides me with plenty of volume in a very noisy UPS Truck. I use mine with a 12 volt connection. I wouldn't use the battery option, some other drivers use rechargeable battery's and complaint that they die any wear from six to eight hours depending on the audio level. I also have XM and it's a shame that Sirius and XM use the same type plug and play connection and when you plug in the XM unit the radio powers up and receives a signal, but won't pass the sound. I use the AUX jack for using the XM or a ipod .

The sound on these units is pretty good but I would definitly recommend getting the ac adapter as they eat up D cell batteries like popcorn.

I recommend this to anyone who does not have a home stereo and enjoys being able to listen to their Sirius radio out of the vehicle.

The Sirius BoomBox is great for the beach . I walked around with playing and the signal was still strong . And the people around me love it to because there was commercials.

what a great value, granted I got it on sale, but I would have still purchased it at full price. first review I ever wrote, but this is worth it
