Posted .Sorry you had that experience, SiriusXM does offer family subscription plans so you can add an additional radio to you account and there is a discount for second or more radios added.
Great Sirius receiver with more than just basics

Posted .Often the indoor/outdoor antenna that is included with the Onyx EZR with home kit does not get enough signal inside the home. This can be because a south facing window is not available or that window has metal screens or metal coatings that block the satellite signal or the view of the southern horizon from that window is blocked by trees, buildings or mountains. A clear view of the southern sky just 15 degrees above the horizon is needed for good reception. Often the indoor outdoor antenna must be mounted higher on the outside of the home. The indoor outdoor antenna is designed for this type of installation and we sell optional amplified coax cables specially designed for our signal sold in 50ft lengths to extend your antenna to a good installation location. You may want to experiment with temporary mounting locations of your antenna before purchasing the extension cables. The 50ft coax cables can be purchased here and up to 150ft of extension cable can be powered by one satellite radio:

NO SPEAKERS

You have to also buy the Speaker Box which is extra (and costs another $119) or plug it into an existing sound system (which I don't have). Now I am trying to decide whether to send it back for a refund, or buy some speaker system for it. I wish someone would have explained this to me BEFORE I bought it. That is why I am posting this for other shoppers to be aware.

This receiver was easy to connect to my existing home stereo system that's over 30 years old. Affordable even for a pensioner.
