These headphones deliver incredible bass frequencies that you can dial in yourself. and this is done using a separate drivers so you don't lose any clarity at all. It's like having subwoofers attached to your head. They have some weight to them understandably but still are very comfortable with soft earpads. I highly recommend these for anyone who loves to not only hear the music but feel it. I'm very happy with these headphones!!!

I'll start by saying the overall spectrum of sound is probably better represented on most (not all) high-end, $400-$500 headphones-- Captain Obvious. Now that I've got that out of the way, on we go... The Skullcandy Crushers check in right at $100 at the time of this review. When you first put them on and turn on some music, the first thing you'll notice is the bass. These headphones have amazing, literally skull-rattling bass (which can be adjusted by a switch on the left earpiece). Even with the bass set on the halfway point, it feels like you're sitting in a car with a couple of 12" subs right behind your head. (I usually leave mine set at the third "click" up.) And, amazingly, the bass doesn't distort the highs and mids, which also sound really good. I had honestly always thought of Skullcandy as cheap stuff, but after purchasing this headset, and subsequently listening to a few other models, they seem to have found their stride. Being that the main "feature" of the Crushers is the insane bass, most people will probably compare them to Beats by Dre headphones. No doubt, the Pro and Studio Beats headphones sound great... and cost 3 times (or more) what the Crushers cost. In my non-professional opinion, these hold their own against the Beats headsets (and sound better than the cheaper Beats headsets- which are still more expensive than the Crushers). If you're looking for an affordable headset that has a great overall sound, and eardrum-busting bass (and they don't have to have that little "b" on the side), the Crushers are worth checking out, no doubt.

Best Headphones I've Ever Owned

Simply put - these are the best headphones I have ever owned. The sound is phenomenal; they are comfortable; and they reduce noise like no other headphones I've heard. I'm sure there are better headphones available, but for the price, these are likely the best you can buy. I didn't go into the store intending to buy these, but I was overwhelmed by their sound that I spent more than I planned because these were worth it.

I got these hoping to get similar results that you'd get from Beats By Dre, and from my experience, these ARE WAY BETTER, and it won't break your bank. I originally first experienced these when they were called Skull Candy Skull-Crushers. They were big and bulky, but they HIT HARD. However, I couldn't see myself using these heavy beasts often. Now that they have "lost weight' and look much better, these fit and look fine. Also, they managed to KEEP the BASS! it still hits just as hard as I remember the original, and now they have a detachable cord to boot. The sound is clear, it doesn't clip out, or get distorted at increased volume either. I'm glad I bought these. When I let my friends hear them, their jaws just drop. They can't believe it!

I bought these for jamming in the shop at work and I've had trouble taking them off ever since. Treble and mids are always clear with the bass boost slider to adjust how much rumble you want. Sound canceling is also very effective.
These are like a portable system on your head. With the bass turned up it literally vibrates with every bump. Just don't wear it too long like I do or it might give you a head ache... But it sounds so good!

These headphones allow the user to adjust the bass just where you like it. Just like it says if you like to feel the bass you can do it with these! I'd use caution with letting children and teens use them because there is no way to limit the volume. Quality is way above other headphones I've purchased at the same price point.

The sound quality is amazing for the price. It is not audiophile caliper, but it is very good, especially if you like bass. You control the bass from subtle and fairly natural to a full blown subwoofer experience. I almost bought the Beats Studio Pro ($379.00) until I tried these. Very impressive.

I bought these for my 13 yr old granddaughter. She is extremely happy with them and uses the headphones daily. The bass feature was the reason for choosing this model over more expensive ones. This feature alone is a reason to purchase this headphone but the quality of sound is excellent also.

Great sound quality, broken wire can be an issue

The bass in these headphones could knock your eardrums out. The quality in the tenor range is great too, but probably wouldn't impress you if you're an audiophile (I'm certainly not). I'm certainly satisfied with the sound quality.
However, the cord that connects your headphones to your device (what's essentially an Auxillary cord) can be prone to breaks in the wire within the cord. This is fixable enough, if you just get another Auxillary cord, but it's still annoying. I've had mine for almost a year now, and they work great, but im still using the cord that it came with and sometimes the sound will cut out if the cord isn't in the right position.
Overall, great headphones, the speakers themselves are pretty sturdy (I tend to handle my technology pretty haphazardly) but the cord/wires are still pretty delicate and may need replacing.

I am amazed at the quality and the sound of these headphones. The comfort level when wearing these are top notch. Keep in mind when purchasing these that they are quite large when they are on your head. Sound quality is above the price that was paid for these IMO.

I purchased these headphones after a recommendation from a friend and he was right. These are good headphones for the price and I'm extremely happy I purchased them. The sound is great, they fit well over my head/ears, and I haven't experienced any issues with them so far. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This is my second pair. Had the first for years until my kitten chewed the cord. Most over the ear headphones are too big to comfortably fit my head without slipping, but these are perfect. Sound quality rivals bose at a fraction of the cost. They fold nicely and fit well in my bag. I use them daily to listen to music in the studio while I paint, and I take them with me when I travel, they have definitely taken a beating and still work as well as when I took them out of the package. I ended up having to buy some for my daughter because she kept taking mine. She originally wanted Beats, but after using mine she said the skullcandy headphones definitely had better sound quality.

My son wanted beats for Christmas...sorry, that wasn't going to happen. He did a lot of research and decided he wanted these instead. This price tag I could live with. He has been using them constantly since Christmas and he loves them. I listen to them for a bit and the bass is ridiculous. As far as sound quality, I don't have much to compare them to but they sound fine. I'm sure if you are used to high end audio that these probably wouldn't stack up. They feel quality, I just hope they last over the long haul. They fit great and feel good, even with glasses on.

This headset has proven itself to be very durable and delivers great sound. I bought this for my teenager and so far it has not broken which is more than I can say for the several others I had to purchase. And best of all it has met the teen seal of approval, all at a reasonable price!

Its a good pair of head phones for the price. sounds good with music and has lots of bass compared to most headphones. I used it for my computer which didn't sound as great due to the noise coming from multiple places, ex. (youtube, spotify, Pandora ext) but if you use it only for music it will be fine.

The skull candy crushers have a very good sound quality and booming bass. It's nice that you can adjust the bass level. Nothing seems too over powered. I would say these are better than beats.

I bought these in order to play video games without having to buy the gaming headphones. They are far better than gaming headphones and cheaper too. I love the way they sound and you can adjust the bass. They are awesome for shooters ;)
