After a year of daily use I'm surprised that they lasted this long. I've accidentally stepped on them and have dropped them way to many times. I use them for work and I'm always moving around and the case falls out my pocket. And just surprise they've lasted this long. I've always used skull candy products so I'm glad they still make good quality stuff.

They work for the most part but they disconnect way to often to be helpful you have you be really close to your device or else you will no longer be able to hear anything proper.

I do appreciate the true wireless ability of these buds, but unfortunately they fall far short of the mark on the sound. True, these are not “expensive” buds, but the two first things on my list (is this not the same for everyone?) are comfortable fit and good sound. These things generally go hand in hand with ear buds because a poor fit will completely ruin the sound. You'll be missing most or all of the low end if they don't go into your ear far enough and also have a good tight fit in your ear canal. For me, any pair of ear buds sounds best when pushed firmly into my ears. I wasn't able to do this with the Mod buds however. The part that protrudes, the part that actually goes into your ear, seems too short. So I could never get any real bass. When I tried to push them in deeper, the sound got much better but the fit was actually painful. So for me, these are just not doing it.
Skullcandy has been around long that I expected a much better fit and fuller sound. At this price point, these are entry level wireless buds, and I do take that into consideration. I can totally live with the thin sound for this level of pricing, but they could sound so much better if the housing design was more comfortable and fit better. And while they are cheaper than most true wireless buds, they're not that much cheaper.
Anyway, as far as the functionality goes, they perform as advertised. I would have liked to have seen touch sensitive controls, but the click type buttons work fine. Pairing was very easy and my phone found them right away. I didn't need to download the app for everything to work, which is a plus. The instruction sheet will tell you everything you need to know about how to navigate your new buds. Clear drawings and readable text. What is missing from the user guide is any drawing on how to wear them. Experimentation and the Skullcandy website helped with that though. The fit was not intuitive. I have lots of ear buds and I'm familiar with all types of shapes, but I had to play around with these for a while to get the best fit. If you want to download the app, it will tell you the battery level of each bud. This is pretty useful. Other than that, there's not much to get excited about. The EQ is minimal at best, and while you get a Custom mode in which you can set the EQ to your liking, it doesn't do much to the sound. This is pretty common for most apps of this type and I tend to download them to see if they offer anything useful, but most of the time, they don't.
The case, well it works pretty good as cases go. The buds fit in nicely and are easy to remove and replace. If you open the lid all the way, you can lean it back on a tabletop and it does present the buds in a convenient way. I do like the nice big charge status LED on the bottom. It's very visible and big enough to see from across the room. By placing it on the bottom, Skullcandy expects you to lay the case on it's back, which is fine for charging. The case lid opens easily and it has a nice ridge for your thumb to push on. This case is a pretty good size for slipping into your pocket or pack, and it does offer good protection for them. It would have helped if the lid was magnetic to aid in keeping it closed. It's not like it's going to fly open in your packet, but in your bag, maybe.
I've had other Skullcandy buds in the past and I was never impressed with the sound of any of them. This could be a problem with the fit and the poor fit does contribute to this, but the speaker quality has never seemed great to me. If you're looking for a pair of inexpensive true wireless buds, you might like these, but don't expect them to sound great. I personally found them to be uncomfortable because I kept trying to get them into a position where they sounded better. And since you'll probably be wearing them for a considerable amount of time, they should at the very least be easy on the ears. At the end of the day, I would say they're fine for when you just want to hear some music. They're easy to put in and stay in place during workouts or runs. Obviously, everyone's ears are wildly different in shape and size, so they may be a hit for you. For me, they were a miss.

This was so easy to connect to my iPhone 13. Sometimes its hard to connect non-apple products to my apple device, but I had no problems connecting. In order to connect to your phone, you need to remove the earbuds out of the case, then it will show up on your bluetooth devices under mod. You have to remove them from the case every time you want to connect. If you just open up the lid, it will not turn on. I like that because once they are the case, they turn off. I used it yesterday for about 30 min, and when I took them out of the case to use them, it was still at 98%. Straight out of the box it was at 80%. I charged it for about 15 min and it was up to 98%. That is not bad at all. I'm going to say it is about 1hour to fully charge and the battery can last up to 2 days.
The sound quality is great too. It does not say it is noise cancelling, but outside noise was very faint while I had my earbuds on. I only had it on 50% of the volume and outside noise was very, very low. Pretty close to noise cancelling if you ask me. The music sounded great on too! Very clear sound. I liked that when I took the earbuds out and played the music on high, it was not blaring through the earbuds. I can hear the music, but not loud. That might be something someone might like or prefer. The case feels very sturdy and like it will hold up for a long time. It comes with 3 different earbud pieces so you can find your fit and it comes with a little charger wire. Overall, this is a very nice set of earbuds. Oh yes, and also it is very comfortable to wear. I loved that it did not hurt my ears. I would def recommend

Skullcandy Mod exceed my expectations

I am amazed how well these Skullcandy earbuds sound, they exceed my expectations with the features included and best of all of good value. The earbuds have Bluetooth version 5.2 so they have a very nice range. They do feel comfortable in the ear and I like that included there are two other pair of silicone tips small and large plus the medium size on the earbuds.
The battery life is great, ten minutes gives 2 hours of music and fully charged I get up to 7 hours plus 27 hours more with the case. So vacationing with these earbuds is a good idea.
They do have IP55 so they are water, sweat and dust resistant, I took them to the gym and for an outdoor run and I did enjoy them.
Answering a call is just a push of a button and I also like how clear the voice comes to the other side of the call and on the other hand how well I can hear with them.
I like the Skullcandy application as well because I can customize the buttons on the earbuds and best of all I can customize the sound depending on what I am listening to.
The sound is much better than I expected, it is clear and they have good bass and not overwhelming.
Switching between two different devices is another good benefit because if I am working on my laptop and listening to what I am doing on it and I get a call, then I can switch the connection to answer the call I am getting on my phone. And I can also use one earbud or both, depending on my need.
I also enjoy the Stay Aware mode; it lets me listen to my music while I can hear the vehicles or surroundings on those outdoor runs.
Another thing to like is how well the instructions are given on how to use them.
I found myself pushing the buttons while holding the back of the earbuds since they are not soft touch, but I did not expect them to be soft touch due to their price.
And speaking of the buttons: they let you play, pause, answer and end call as well as volume up and down, track back and forward, in other words everything I need on my earbuds.
If you have any questions, either the app has the answer or their website as well so Skullcandy offers plenty of information on how to use them.
I am enjoying my Skullcandy Mod True Wireless Earbuds more than I thought.

I thought I would get these to replace the wired headphones which I take on my trips. I have had some wireless earbuds before; some that were good and some that were bad. I usually preferred headphones for traveling to watch movies, listen to music and podcasts, or when I just wanted to block out the other sound in a room with some ambient music (i.e., crying babies). But, these would give me more freedom to walk around and take calls.
With the 3+ pair of earbuds I have tried in the past they either kept falling out, were uncomfortable to wear longer than 30 minutes, and/or the sound quality was very poor. However, I found these to be very comfortable to wear and the controls are easy to use while wearing them. I have had these for 5+ days now and have used them about 2-4 hours each day. I thought the sound was good and you can adjust the EQ through the App, which made them better. But, I didn't think the sound was exceptional. With another similar priced brand and model, I felt the others had a more fuller sound.
I was able to easily connect them to my cell phone (Samsung S21), tablet (Samsung S3), Windows 11 Laptop (MS Surface) and Windows 10 desktop (Dell XPS) without any problems. The Bluetooth has great range and stable connectivity. I never had the sound drop-out unless I was out of range. I was able to freely walk around the office and still hear clearly.
What I liked most about these earbuds is how comfortable they are and how well they fit and stay in my ear. I can easily wear these for long periods of time. However, I still found if I talked or yawned much, they could become loose. (But, I think that is typical.) Skull Candy does provide multiple tips so you can see which combination fits the best for you. The Skull Candy App, is excellent and you can customize the controls, set the sound or equalizer to your hearing and tastes, and read the user manual.
The controls on the earbuds are easy to use and provide the typical volume (+/-), advance music (+/-), pause/resume, answer/end calls. But there aren't too touchy that you would have accidental presses. I didn't have high expectations from the built-in microphones, but was very surprised with them. When I was taking a call or on a zoom meeting with the earbuds, no one ever said they couldn't hear or understand me. The range is very good and I was able to get up and walk around while listening to music or on a zoom meeting. The battery life is excellent, even during a long flight (4+ hours) I never saw the battery power drop below 50 percent. The case quickly recharges the earbuds and keeps them secure when not in use.
Overall, I really like these and will certainly use them during my travels and commute.

Bang for buck simply put. These are comfortable, don’t fall out, get loud and have good battery life. Saw these on the shelf after I lost two pairs of soundcore earbuds. What I liked about the soundcore life note e I had was the battery life. Seemed like I never had to charge those things! But after losing two pairs, and not seeing them in the store I gave these a try and I’m not disappointed at all. These get louder. The specs say this has similar battery life (34 hours) but I’ll have to come back to this review when I see for myself. I like the EQ features in the skull candy app. I also like that these are findable through the Tile app. I’ll have to set that up ASAP!
Cons: only thing I’ve noticed so far is sometimes I’ll have to put the left earbud back in the case for it to resync. This could be user error but it happened twice where the right bud was connected but the left wasn’t

Skullcandy made some truly good wireless earbuds. While they’re not fancy or expensive as other brands they get the job done when you need them. The drive to this product is the impressive battery life that these earbuds hold; which ended up being great to use on long flights.
The design is nice and in line with your typical earbuds of today’s era. The battery case is compact enough to fit into a pocket but big enough to spot if you leave it around somewhere. The buds magnetize to the seat inside of the charging case Skullcandy provides. Farmer cases indicate a light, letting you know if the device is charged fully.
It comes with a short USB-C cord that’s very short and earbuds to change out to fit inside your ear with comfort. Not much is in a box, nor complicated instructions on how to hook it up to Bluetooth. Pretty simple manual to get you going as fast as you can.
In the department of Sound; they sound pretty good, but I wish they had more bass in them with a richer sound in them. They do fit nicely inside of the ear where you can hear full range sound perfectly. I do enjoy the economics of this case and earbuds, and I don’t fall out when I shake my head from side to side. I’m rather impressed with what you’re getting at this price. The mic as well is extremely good as the call quality has been clear, so have zoom calls.
I will personally recommend these if you just need some earbuds on the go not really looking for massive features. But the features it does have with the Skullcandy app can further enhance these buds. I highly recommend downloading it to get the most out of them. It has a self-aware mode where you can monitor your surroundings better. you can also pay it easier buds with multiple devices.
These are perfectly fine they just pick up and thrown in a bag. The battery life is extremely impressive. I actually managed 30 hours of battery life on one charge. (Earbuds = 7 hours, w/case 27 extra hours.) I didn’t have issues with the battery or complain about battery life. At the end of the day, I think they made a very amazing set of earbuds. There isn’t too much here that’s overwhelming with features, but it definitely has a great sound overall.

Great earbuds for the price! Very comfortable and comes with 3 sizes of interchangeable molds to insure they don't fall out and remain comfortable. Sound quality is great and the battery life is excellent, never had them die on me and the case actually has its own battery which charges the earbuds while they're tucked away.

These are really good earbuds for the money!
They are comfortable when fitted properly with the right size ear canal inserts. They came with three. Easy to pair and re-pair. Strong bluetooth connection to the phone and work from a surprising distance away. They came with a standard all black USB-C charging case. I kind of wish this came with some bright colored logo on it so you could see/find it easily if you dropped it or are searching a laptop bag.
Skullcandy APP has Equalizer control, volume adjustment, "Stay-Aware" mode for external sounds. Custom shortcut commands for a total of 6 different commands based on button presses/holds on the left and right ear buds. Press 2 Times, Press 3 times, 1 Second Hold. Volume UP/Down, Track Back, Track Forward, Assistant (Siri), Stay-Aware Mode, Play/Pause. These buds also allow Multipoint Pairing so you can pair them with multiple phones/devices. They also support Tile finding so that you can ring them from the tile app! The built-in mic also works just fine. I haven't found much to criticise at all. I'll be purchasing a second pair for my spouse.

Similar in design to the Sesh but smaller case and buds. Sound quality is pretty good but bass is lackin for skullcandy imo. I use them when riding my SV650 and can hear just fine at 85+mph and the battery will last all day.

I have purchase several wired/wireless Skullcandy earphones because they are the overall best value brand. Bought these to replace the EVO model as they were losing volume drastically.
These Mods' have more clarity albeit seems Skullcandy is less bass forward than previous models. These pair easier and range seems further. These have short stubby inner ear piece and you really have to struggle to get them inserted to where you get the best fit for best quality of sound.
Until earbud brands increase the range and sound equalization generally; I have resolved to place value over price. Skull candies are the best overall value.

Sound quality is great. Love how it has different sized buds. My favorite feature is being connected to my Nintendo Switch AND my phone at the same time. Really pleased with the quality, size and fit of these ear buds. I enjoy having the app on my phone to play with the sound and equalizer functions. Also, it is nice to be able to adjust the volume of my environment when using the ear buds. Overall, these ear buds serve their purpose real well and then some. I used to use Apple Air Pods until I dropped one and it stopped working. And I have to say, I think I like these ones better.
