I work from home but it doesn’t mean I enjoy being indoors for too long, especially with the nice weather outside, and thanks to Skyroam, I can take my work anywhere with me. I’ve been able to enjoy the outdoors, the fresh air, and soak up the sun all while getting work done! I’ve been using Skyroam for over 3 years now. I don’t travel anywhere without it because it helps me stay connected at all times, and even though we can’t travel anywhere at the moment, their new USA Wifi plans have been a perfect internet on-the-go solution for me. I love the new features of the Solis X compared to their older devices. It's fast, can be shared on 10 devices at a time, which is great because I’m usually working on 2 laptops and my phone, and I can share hotspot with my friends and family, it can also be used as a power bank, and…. It even has a remote camera whaaaaat… I love that! So I definitely recommend the Solix X, not only for the traveler, but for you fast and reliable internet solution for working from home, or anywhere really.

I've used my Skyroam everywhere...on the road, Costa Rica, Panama, Australia, and throughout Europe. Most recently, when borders closed in Denmark while we were mid-air, I was able to turn my Skyroam on when we landed, power up my phone, and connect it to WiFi to find out what was going on any help get us back to the US asap. I LOVE the updated Solis X model and the upgrades. I can't wait to travel with my new "travel buddy"!

Easy setup. Had one issue that I had to contact customer service about and they were great and easy to deal with. They had me up and running quickly and kept me aware of what was going on the whole time. It has gotten great service out in the country where I live and has allowed me to work from home with no hiccups. I don't have the best cell service where I live and that's why I wanted to give this a try. Previous hotspots would not hold signal and home wifi service is not cost effective. I have used Skyroam everyday for about a month now and so far, I would highly recommend.

So far I've only used it a few times and always in the US. Both times were areas that I had a poor signal from Verizon and was able to connect for a better signal using Skyroam. I'm not sure what provider it uses, but I believe it has contracts with all of them and connects to the one with the strongest signal in the area. Heading to Mexico next week and i will update the review.

Do you travel or go places where there is no WIFI available? Long road trips and have kids who are always on your "hot spot"? Need internet at the RV or while camping? This is great. It does require additional purchase for the internet use either pay as you use or monthly. Anywhere you would have phone service you this would give you internet. We play XBOX games, stream movies, and have around 3-4 devices hooked up at one time and it works great. just like the wifi at our house.... now not as perfect but its good enough everyone stays happy.

I wasn’t sure how this would work but we needed a reliable strong WiFi and gave it a shot. It works great!! We can work, stream movies and use it for absolutely all day-to-day internet needs.

It got me out of a bind when I needed internet access in a place where it is otherwise not available. This product will work great in a disaster situation or when traveling. The data is a tad on the expensive side; however, worth it when you need internet connectivity.

This is a great device! it works as advertised so far. Have not tested this in a remote area, and have not tried to use it for a movie, or heavy duty emailing, or photo transfer, but no reason to believe it will not work. Only negative so far to would be that 1 gig does not go very far, and the monthly passes are a bit steep in price. Still, should be a great, hopefully secure, link for when we at our summer home, and need to keep up with the office email, medical records, etc.

Overall this smartspot lived up to my expectations. I loved the camera for taking those risky pics that you might not want to try with your cell phone. Unfortunately I returned it because I found another alternative for my local wifi issue. When international travel picks back up perhaps I would buy it again as that's what it's most useful for.

I love this skyroam more then Verizon. Verizon is expensive on data plan. Traveling to International? —-> Verizon will charge a FEE!!! International with Skyroam ( No Fee ) — only $50 for UNLIMITED DATA for 30 days! Now your talking. BEST BEST BEST HotSpot!

I use this as a primary source of Internet as I live in a rural area. I initially purchased per gigabyte and it was expensive so I switched to the unlimited plan. I work from home and it does what is needed. I was skeptical at first but it works very well.

I love the convenience of being able to work from anywhere with great WiFi. The Skyroam Solis X has incredible battery life, and I love how our family can connect up to 10 devices.

I have used this a several times while camping. I have no cell phone service and it’s nice to be able to get WiFi with this awesome device. The coverage seems to be great. No problem with this device. Afford data plans as well for this device.

Great device to take anywhere you go. So far, it helped me while I was traveling in other states and into the mountains where WiFi is not available.

Easy to get set up, works great, internet speed was very fast!

Very disappointed with the Solis X. We rented a cabin close to Gatlinburg TN. An area that is hilly but very populated. Tried 3 different times but couldn’t get it to connect. The hot spot on my T-Mobile I Phone worked but not the Solis X. I checked the device from my home and it works fine so it’s not faulty, just doesn’t work as advertised. BestBuy are refusing to allow me to return or even given me a store credit because I’ve had it for 20 days. I’ve checked the Solis return policy and they won’t issue a refund for an item purchased from a 3rd party. I now have $200 paper weight. Buyer beware.

Great for traveling even international. Went to Mexico and even in some remote parts I had hotspot service!

Perfect for what we needed. Able to connect all of our devices without having to pay a ton on top of the cell phone plan. Nice design too

It is a hockey puck that they pretend has WiFi. Their support is lackluster at best. I’m still waiting on my refund from sky roam (three different one hour calls to describe issues and “troubleshoot”) as well as my refund from Best Buy - thankfully they allowed me to ship this item back. I use an LTE hotspot off my phone and it was consistently faster and more reliable than this device. This devices top network speed in the week that I was trying to get it working was .27mbps. My phone was next to it and working at 17mbps. Highly recommend not purchasing this. It stinxxxxxx.
