This is THE classic Hockey Comedy. I put this movie up there with "Bull Durham" and (the first) "Major League" on the list of all-time great sports comedies. If you're a hockey fan, or a fan of sports comedies in general, this one NEEDS to be in your collection.

Slap Shot is a good hockey movie that has action and comedy at the same time. I love Paul Newman's ... "Slap Shot" is an excellent example of what an all-time great sports film really is.

Because it’s totally politically incorrect! The Hanson Brothers, just break the wall down! After doing so. The referee says, behave! They say (while the National Anthem is playing, not well the song is playing!) the NFL should see this!

Shout Factory should have done a 4K transfer or something. However, the only thing they did was put the disc in a Steelbook container. If you like Steelbooks buy, if you don't care, no need to double-dip.

This is a great movie for oldsters like myself. Though not a big hockey fan, by marriage I've become more acquainted with the profession. This is Paul Newman showing some humor and grace in dealing with the hockey team owners and upstart young players.

Great movie and looks great on Blu-ray. Look forward in seeing it again.

This is a awesome movie that is a classic and must own for any paul newman fan or sports fan for that matter. I repurchased it because it was on blu ray and still love it and watch it often. If you love hockey this a great one to add to the collection.

This Blu-ray has the same features that the DVD had, but looks much clearer...as you would expect on a Blu-ray. As a movie it is foul, violent, gross and absolutely hilarious. If you are easily offended you may not like it, but everyone else will.

Great cast of characters, Paul Newman in his prime. If you haven't seen this old classic, do yourself a favor and watch it. For fans of hockey and crude humor, just fantastic!

Paul Newman as always gave a excellent performance. The movie is a true classic with a lot of action and a fantastic story line. Well worth the price of the classic movie.

Paul Newman fans will well remember this movie and I hope the new generation can appreciate it as well. Shows how times haven't really changed all that much in the past few decades with regard to business of sports.

A classic comedy, looking very good indeed on blu. It's not one for the kids, but if you don't mind the crude humor this is a very funny film. Picture and sound is excellent, and there are a few interesting extras too. Go get it!

This is such a classic funny movie, it is he typical 70’s comedy. I enjoyed it tremendously. The acting is typical for the time period without much special effect.

A true classic hockey movie!!! The Hanson brothers are legendary for their fighting on the ice... isn't that why we go watch hockey games anyway? It is definitely not a movie for children, but is pure fun for those appropriate to watch.

This movie is a classic. I had it on VHS back in the 80's. Now I can add the Blu-Ray to my hockey movie collection.

Already have the dvd, but at 6 bucks on blu it's worth the repeat purchase. Also a high recommendation if you've never seen it. For being over 30 years old you'll find your self watching the hansons over and over. Classic

If you like hockey, this is funny. The Hansen brothers are great. Paul Newman is not at his best but the character is shallow. Despite the time machine, clothing and etc. it is well worth watching.

If you are a sports movie fan, this is a must own movie -- definitely one of the best sports movies of all time. I'm not even a huge hockey fan and I love this. And need you ask? Paul Newman, of course, is fantastic.

This is the ultimate cult hockey movie, and this is the unedited with lots of language for parents to beware. But the fact not edited makes it much more enjoyable than version NHL Network airs.

If you Love Hockey, Love Movies and Like Paul Newman Then you will love this classic homage to the great sport of hockey! This movie may not win any Tony awards for best acting, but it's a fun way to spend an afternoon/evening! Grab a buddy, GF and a beer and watch this movie!
