Slay the Spire is extremely addicting, and its been hard to set the game down. Be aware that this game is quite difficult, but I find the challenge part of the appeal. The premise of the game is to choose one of 3 character types (knight, rogue, wizard) and battle your way to the top of the spire using battle cards, relics and potions at your disposal. The game weighs heavily on decisions. For example, you don't regen life after each battle, but instead there are a few resting zones in each Act. When you reach those resting zones you have to make a decision to regen life (30%) or use it to upgrade one of your cards. Other choices involve obtaining a new relic, which grants passive and active bonuses, but you may have to lose life or gain curse cards in your deck, which add negative actions when in battle. I really enjoy the decision-making aspect of the game because you have to make smart moves in order to get to the final boss. This game is hard, and if you die, you go back to the menu screen and must start completely over. It's frustrating, but playing levels over and over again improves your decisions and teaches you about each enemy and their move set. The paths for each Act change with each new game so this keeps things fresh. Finally, the graphics/art style is excellent. There isn't much to music for the game but the enemy and battle sounds are nice and engaging. I play this game exclusively on the Switch Lite, and the text is a bit small, but I still find it manageable. Overall the game is excellent, and it will be a game I keep in my Switch carry case unlike many others I finish and have no plans to revisit.

This is a very simple yet complex game. Easy to play hard to master. Basically endless replay value and you can spend as little as 15 min to 3 hours playing this game. This game can be very addictive. You get your starting cards and expand it as you advance up the tower to face the dark heart. And it takes a while to get the true ending and final stages.

This game really surprised me. I thought by the artwork that it might be a simplistic RPG-ish themed game but it's so much more. It's a card game mixed with an adventure game, mixed with fantasy and RPG elements, with strategic combat. It has seemingly endless replay value and is a load of fun.

This is my favorite roguelike game. It is so good. It is inuitive and ramps up nicely. The key here is understanding that it's a card game that you gather relics and cards to enhance your deck and destroy monsters. Super fun and I play it all the time.

Slay the spire has a card combat system, which makes for very interesting combat. Each character plays a little differently and, as you progress, you get better cards for your deck. It's a very addictive game that's worth every penny.

Great card game plus rougelike style. And also a perfect match with switch or switch lite. Play whenever you want , one round takes less than or about 1 minute. One of the best cost/ performance value game on switch! Highly recommend

This game has a learning curve that makes it difficult at first but quickly draws you into wanting to be a master. I am not a master... not close... but I still have clocked 60 hours into.

Played this game a ton on the PC - happy to have it on-the-go for the Switch. Controls are a bit awkward, but if you play portable, it isn't an issue. Very rewarding and addictive gameplay.

Great card game roguelike, but the Switch version gets the updates much, much later than the PC version, and there is a large download, so not everything is on the cart. Only get this if you want it portable, otherwise buy it on another system.

Classic easy to learn hard to master kind of game. Bought it based off the hype and have became a big fan of the genre because of it. If you have ever had a tiny of interest in card games but never knew if you wanted to dive in, seems like a perfect game for it. People who are big into Magic and similar might find this not as DEEP mechanically as they liked. Also one point of annoyance for me is that the card draw seems to be present and not randomized. So it's almost like the enemy is dealing your cards AGAINST you. Sometimes that feels really cheap.

Great game to play when you can't be zoned in and would like to take your time. Had the one more time feeling after any death needing to get the next upgrade. Rougelike so making progress can be a bit of a grind, you've been warned.

I don't have a ton of experience with card based games but am very happy with this purchase. It's hard not to get sucked in for "just one more game". Challenging to start but always rewarding when you beat a level.
