With the new WiFi feature,ease of setup and perfomance are much improved. My main use is to have a TV while tail gating at Redskins games. In really came in handy while traveling. We were able to watch TV/football on the road. Thru the mountians the picture did cutoff a few times where being able to watch our favorite team (lose) while traveling was indeed special. We have had this for a few months and so far it has been as advertized.

Sure there are many apps out there that you can stream from, but if you are a sports fan on the run, this is the way to go!

This is an awesome product for watching your tv any where in the world as long as there is an internet connection/wifi.

set up did not take the first time around, had to call customer service to make adjustments. Not sure if its just with my service provider but the hdmi does not work due to copyright protections, I'm almost certain youll find the same with all service providers. Too many sticking points with network conditions needing to be optimal in order to get best picture and avoid freezing and the pauses for remote functions will drive you up the wall. way to pricey, not at all worth over 300 and I will be returning it soon. not happy and totally unimpressed with the product. I'll just download the uverse app and watch my dvr on a tablet. I dont know why some or all of these companies cant come to some sort of agreement so you can watch playback on a regular tv. I using it with google tv which I'm finding out also pretty much sucks

I was hesitant at first on purchasing this item but it works absolutely perfect. It is literally a TV on your phone.

Was a bit skeptical at first of how well the quality of viewing from NY with the box setup in Philly. To my surprise, very little disruption in viewing for several hours and the quality was better than expected. As per other reviews, had to use both HDMI and Component connections as most cable channel encryption makes it go over Component, which is fine. Only disappointment was Sling asking for more $$ to run the ipad, iphone, and android apps to view the box. After such a significant upfront investment in the box, they should offer at least one complimentary.

Fairly straight forward to hook up. Works as promised and if you have fast enough connections the compressed HD video looks pretty awesome using a roku3 on an HD TV. Watch out as many cable companies are not allowing access to HDMI sources without being encrypted which means the HDMI connection won't work on the Slingbox. The easy way around is to use to analog component signals. Make sure you have unencrypted sources or component hookups before using!

Easy to follow on screen instructions works great on iPad!

I needed a way to watch TV on my deck...live TV, like sports. The cost and effort to install a TV (weather-proof?) and another cable box was horrifying. Enter Slingbox...now I watch on my iPad Pro on my deck (or anywhere else that I have wi-fi access). I even watched shows on my DVR while vacationing across the USA! If you want to watch content from your cable box/DVR. BUY THIS!

The slingbox works fine. Not sure if I should have gotten an M2 instead but this works fine.

Bought it to be able to get my home channels in our vacation home. Worked great.

Connected to my FIOS set top box with both HDMI and RGB cables. RGB is best due to content protection just use RGB with right and left audio (RCA) cables. Worked this from my primary home pushed to my secondary home. Your uplink internet needs to be high enough to support the transmit which can be an issue as to quality and delay if to slow. I would recommend at least 8 - 10 meg uplink from the Sling Box and your recurve being the same or higher. I was using IPad at first and pushing it to Apple TV but this tied up my IPad so I bought a Fire TV unit and loaded the Sling App. The Sling APP is not as good as the Fire APP so when I need menu control and switching channels I use the IPad to control the cable box and Fire TV to present the video. You can do this through Fire Tv but the combination of both works great and does not tie up my IPad full time.

Great product. Works as advertised. We use it with Apple TV at a vacation home yo be able to watch tv. Streams great with minimal buffering.

Easy to connect and even easier to figure out how to use. Has definitely come in handy on several occasions already with MLB playoff games.

Have used SlingBox for the last several years and this is the best yet. Need good upload internet speed to get best performance.

Great HD picture and setup is easy if they had the proper instructions. The instruction sheet is vague and does not depict what I had to eventually do. I had to call technical support to get hooked up correctly. You cannot connect with HDMI because of HDCP. Don't even try to connect the HDMI cable because you will end up using nothing but the component cable.

Very happy with this device. Works as advertised and very clear picture on my iPad. No commercials on iPad so that's good!!!
