Movie was ok. Very sad. I probably wouldn't watch again because it wasn't what I thought it was. It was well made and easy to follow for the most part. Characters well written.

After watching this movie, I feel how lucky we are living in the USA.

Often times, when movies are hyped this much, they end up falling short of my expectations. This was not the case with Slumdog Millionaire. The premise is straight forward. Jamal Malik, a poor boy from the slums of Mumbia (formerly Bombay) goes on the show, "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", not to win money, but because he hopes to reunite with his long lost childhood love. With each correct answer, the nation becomes enthralled and rallies behind him, while the show's creator is shocked at how an uneducated 'slumdog' can possibly know all the answers. However, Jamal is not a genius. While those who are educated might draw answers from knowledge accumulated through books, Jamal must rely on his own life experiences. In essence, the hardship Jamal experiences in his youth gives him knowledge and insight that can't simply be learned by reading. Overall, this movie is takes the basic elements of the human experience; love, friendship, betrayal, loyalty, profound happiness, and extreme sadness, and combines them in a way that is so creative, yet simple and accessible to everyone. Moreover, the photography is gorgeous, and captures humanity of the city and its inhabitants. Throughout the movie, you'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll cheer!

After filming underrated films like 28 Days Later and Sunshine Danny Boyle finally gets the praise he's always deserved as a director. When I watched "Slumdog Millionaire" my heart was filled with so many happy emotions that I couldn't stop smiling when I thought about the film. I give you my guarantee that "Slumdog" is the best movie of 08 and that if your having a bad day this film will cheer you up. I bought it because I haven't seen it & it's on sale. The starts of the movie is good, however certain parts were very disturbing. It totally changed my perception about the country India. I am kinda worried to visit India after seeing this movie. But maybe it's just a story to made it shine & Oscar winning performance. Overall, I would recommend this movie to those who will not watch this movies with their kids. Some parts were very disturbing, especially when they get tortured. Kids should not watch this movie because they may behave towards the violence. The slum kids were the best actors in this movie. I wonder why there was no awards for child actor in Academy Awards. Overall, good movie. But beware that you might be uncomfortable in certain scenes.

So many movies now are not realitstic you could never see them happaning. There is so uch se x in movies it is unreall. I get the feeling that people feel that if there is no se x in amovie it is not good and this movie showes us that that us not true. This movie is sdo real you can see all of this happining with no problem. There is no se x or nudity in this movie what so ever and it is still the best movie that I have seen in years. The ending is the beast and I love this movie.

When I first heard about this movie, I thought "eh, just another flop". But I was so wrong. If you haven't seen this movie, you are missing out! This is "The Best" movie I've watched in a long time. The children in this film "awesome" they give some of the pro's a run for their money...Best scene: When the little boy was trying to see his favorite film star & his brother locked him in an outhouse! Hilarious! I'm so glad I saw this film. It won't disapppoint.

In my opinion, Danny Boyle's best Film. It's Academy Award for Best Picture can back that up. This is a great film, with an incredible journey, and wonderful characters. The movie will pull your emotions in every direction. Do yourself a favor, and see Slumdog Millionaire! Video 4.5/5, Audio 5/5, Special Features 3.5/5

I rushed to the store to get this film the first day it came out. Though I'm fine with my purchase, I was a bit upset that I was given absolutely NO SPECIAL FEATURES on the DVD version. I'm guessing the additional features are on blu-ray, unfortunately.
