I was skeptical after all the hype with these quick set tripods. This one is the little brother to the bigger Potato Jet Tripod. Both go to about the same height. It is an aluminum build. Carbon legs would have decreased the weight, but this build doesn't feel heavy and aluminum may be a little more durable in such a small package. The head is not incredible, although for moving around a bunch the quick retracting legs will make life easier. I won't use it for complex tripod moves. For most Broll tilt and pans it will work just dandy. I have some heads for monopods and a Sachtler Ace tripod I can use my Sachtler plate on all which helps speed up productions. The versitility of the top load plate system and being able to use other plates make this tripod a great value that will keep paying dividends. The bag is what you would expect in this price. Being able to fit it into a large suitcase for travel is a the real game changer.
