I have typically refrained from purchasing Apple branded accessories only because I really dislike the 'Apple Tax', that is, the inflated cost of Apple accessories (not the primary devices as much but definitely the cords/cases/whatnot). When I bought this case it was because I was going to be traveling with my iPad the same day I bought it and I am loathe to take my devices out unprotected (I am usually able to sell my old tech for a sizable portion of their original price since I keep them in such nice shape). I grabbed this cover since it was the only one the store had in stock that I liked. This thing is awesome. I love the color, and the texture is perfect for holding it and not having it slip. It also blends seamlessly with the iPad since it is Apple-made so maybe the Apple Tax is not as egregious as I once thought.

The iPad case by Apple is much more durable than the last 2 cases that I had. It has a curved edge all the way around my iPad keeping it secure. The design keeps the case from cracking and chipping on the edges. It was pricey and worth it!

love the case, love the color but it does show wear more than I think it would if I had chosen black.

Quality leather, light weight. Enjoy having it turn iPad off when I close it.

Needed a case for our iPad Air 2 and went with the Apple Smart case. It has protected our iPad, but leaves two vertical/horizontal streaks on the screen. Per forums, these are residual grease streaks and it is suggested to place a thin terry cloth between case cover and screen. Aside from my preference, the case has served it's purpose (protect my iPad).
