I was looking for a case for my iPad Air 2 and this one fit the bill nicely in terms of providing protection to the screen and the back of iPad. It's also leather like so it dresses up iPad for business meetings. Previous iPad had plastic rear case with Apple Smart Cover and was a little cheaper but not leather like. This is a little steep in price but gives it a nice look. Functionally probably worth 5 stars, but I'm going with 4 since it is pricy.

I returned a Logitech one b/c it just didn't seem to protect my iPad I just had doubts about it, loved that it had a keyboard, but didn't think it would help protect my investment, so I returned it for the Apple Smart Case and love it. It does get scratched but wears it like a seasoned baseball glove to me so if you are careful it will be fine. I've dropped my ipad a short distance and it did great.

Provides great protection for the screen without being to bulky like previous cases.

Fits super snug and very durable. All ports and speaker are unaffected by this cover.

I pruchased at the sametime for the IPad Air 2, it has served my sons IPad air well so already knew it was a great product and it is so compact it fit nicely in most tots or bookbags, easy to hold, just note this is not designed if your worried about dropping it is a simple cover that encoose both the back and front - front cover converts to allow IPad Air to stand for easy typing or reading.

I received a new iPad Air 2 for Christmas along with the Apple leather iPad case. The case is good quality, fits perfectly and turns off my iPad when I close the cover. A little pricey, but does provide excellent protection for my new iPad.

Case adds a level of protection while still maintaining a nice feel in your hands.
