I had doubts about the need for a cover but it's so well designed and so easy to use that I have no regrets about the purchase. You really should try it if you're unsure. Some people may prefer the case to protect the back as well but the cover is ideal for my usage.

I love the way it looks and feel. It's very thin and gives sufficient protection.

Although not providing much protection, I really like the slim design of this cover. I travel alot and don't want any additional bulk . This does the trick and I am happy with the purchase so far.

The smart cover is quick to attach & its automatic screen lock feature is very useful. However, the cover doesn't lay flat on the iPad when closed. It lifts slightly due to its foldable sections. Also, if you hold the iPad upside down, the magnetic closure will open & it will swing on the hinge.

I purchased this Smart Case for my iPad Air after having the polyurethane version on my iPad 2. I appreciated that design, and this smart case mimics that, plus it's in leather. I did return this item, though; the leather is a good deal heavier than the synthetic cover. One of the amazing things about the Air is how light and maneuverable it is, but this cover totally negates both of those qualities. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with this case per se, and I'd definitely recommend it over a third party solution, but it adds almost 50% of the device's weight back. I've decided instead to go with a screen protector, Luvvitt Silverback Grip and carrying sleeve when I transport my iPad.

This case met all expectations, provided adequate protection to the ipad air.

It's a nice case, but sometimes the stand will fold flat while I'm using the iPad. I prefer to use this case when traveling because it's light weight, not bulky and fits neatly into a backpack.

The Smart Cover for the iPad Air is really nice. It protects without adding a ton of bulk to the iPad, but also functions as a stand. The fully covered hinge is so much better than the metal hinged version for the older iPads, as it wears the aluminum far less.

It's a great cover that looks good on the iPad and it even becomes a stand.

Tries different iPad cases and this is my fav. Lightweight perfect cover.
