The protection for the IPad alone is well worth the cost. I love the close to shut down the IPad part. It's easy to wipe clean and really looks great.

If you're looking to protect both front and back, this is not the case for you. Slim design does not add much width to the iPad, but back of the device is still unprotect. Case is soft to the touch.

Protective and sturdy, it does the job for the iPad. One issue I found for the IPad Air 2 is that the opening for the camera does not quite line up properly. However, the case is easy to remove, so taking pictures is still not an issue.

I've used all three iterations of Apple's iPad covers and this is by far the best one. Maintains the on/off functionality of the smart cover for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation iPad while completely enclosing the tablet to prevent scratches, etc., to the back, which in my experience is where most of the damage to iPads happen. The brushed aluminum case is nice, but it shows small scratches easily, so it's nice to finally have an Apple case that can protect the back without requiring a second piece. Only negatives are that it feels a little flimsy and isn't quite as glossy as the previous smart covers. OTOH, if it was heavier it would probably weigh more than the iPad Air, so you can't complain too much.

Its a pretty standard product from Apple although I will prefer a cover with gray shades than an all black. A little expensive. You can always go for other covers which are cheaper.

I love the Apple Smart Cases doe iPad. I like the iPad because it is lightweight and I wanted a lightweight and relatively protective case, the leather Smart Case is the perfect case.

I have tried cheaper alternatives on eBay only to waste my money and be dissatisfied. No protection for the back means you either need another cover for travel or should just be really careful. For around the house it's perfect.

I like the case, I think it was a bit more expensive than it needed to be though. Sometimes when trying to have the iPad stand up, the case will come out from under itself but I really do enjoy this product and am happy that I have it.

I love my Smart Cover for iPad Air. It stands the iPad up at two different angles--one for typing and one for watching movies and such. Great accessory for your iPad Air for protecting the screen.

The magnet is a cool feature that turns off the iPad when you close the cover on the case. Also, the back folds up and is held by the magnet which holds the iPad standing up for your viewing pleasure. Way to go Apple!!!

This is a very high quality case, a bit pricey, but worth the money in my opinion. It travels very well and holds up to a lot of shuffling in bags and other abuse. If you've got the extra money to spend, it's well worth it. The only criticism I have is that when using the case as an "easel" it's not very stable when you need to use the touchscreen. But if you are just using it for movies, tv, or recipes, etc. it does the trick!

This cover has a nicer feel than the previous generation of iPad covers. They switched to a leathery material so it looks less like a toy. I wish they would add a magnetic closure that would stay shut but maybe in the future.

This product is an overall protection for my Ipad Air as it covers from front to back. I do not need to worry about scratches or chips that may incur due to frequent use. I was looking for a purple color as it is my favorite color but there was none so I stuck to the red. And it looks great because it is a bold color that does not look like any other "usual" color . Even my husband gave me the thumbs up in choosing this color. I could easily find it anywhere. Also it is waterproof so the pricey cost makes up for it. Never regret buying it!

I am impressed with the Smart Cover for the ipad air. It is also lightweight, comes in a variety of colors and preserves your battery life as well as gives your ipad air your personal touch.

Sorry Apple, but I expect perfection from you. Generally this is a really good case. My only issue is when you fold it flat against the back it distorts the case a little bit. Previous smart covers I had can do this easily.

Yeah, I picked a 'blue' cover. Very easily spotted in almost any room. Attaches quickly and effortlessly. Protects screen adequately and "rolls up" well to use as stand at desk or handle for reading in bed. Will admit, it's not for clumsy or aggressive use. mainly for elegant and casual use.

This product snaps easily into place to protect your I-pad screen when not in use and also doubles to allow you to stand the I-pad up. Automatically turns the unlock screen on when opening.

really a professional look and feel, easy to open for access to the ipad, good protection from dirt maybe not so much if you drop the ipad

This cover allows you to carry your IPad 2 in any bag without the bulk. It's durable and definitely protects your IPad 2 from dust and water damage. It's absolutely a great product!

The cover works great for ipad air. Never had a Smart Cover but love it for protection and a stand. Wish the price was a bit less. Little high but glad I got one. Sleep mode is way cool
