The August smart door lock from Best Buy is awesome! It is working perfectly in our home. The keypad is also slim. We can still use our old key as the deadbolt is not replaced and it is installed inside the door. I would highly recommend this smart door lock to anyone.

The guys had to come back 3 times as the nest brand we originally bought had 2 prongs that would line up with our older door. They might have known that this nest brand was a problem but they did not. BUT THE BEST BUY MAN AT THE STORE KNEW and told me to switch to Yale brand that only had one prong and fit our door. The guys came back & did a great install of Yale.

He did a great job, but I am dropping my membership when it is due for renewal. You’re dropping the most important thing in having a geek squad membership ‘FREE INSTALLATION”. I can’t see it to be beneficial to pay that much money every year for so little services.

After the installation of my doorbell, sometimes most times I receive an error message when trying to lock from phone. Then I have to manual lock and unlock until it's able to lock again. Then the error message reappears and I go back through the same process. I just deal with it because when I call BestBuy back out, because I shop there alot, the problem does not get fixed. I do not have anyone else to come fix so I just let it be.

It was not a smart door lock installation. He came out and changed the wifi connection on the ring doorbell. Took him all of 30 seconds.

My Installer was the best. Came within the expected time and took the time to show me how to remove the battery and setup the assure account to make sure everything was working as it should

The agent was polite, professional and proficient. While it took him a bit longer to install the lock, he did a nice job.

Exactly what we wanted. Had Best Buy do the installation. The young man who came to our house with the product was very professional and completely capable. Did a great job, left the house as clean as he found it. Great experience!

The technician that installed three of the Next x Yale Smart Locks did a great job. Arrived as scheduled on a Saturday morning and was done within an hour. He explained how to use them and was very clear in his instructions.

The lock has not been installed by a Best Buy technician yet. The technician was a no-show, The technician still did not bother to keep the appointment even after being called by the company he works for and whom Best Buy contracted to install the lock. This left me sitting at home all day waiting—my time and my day wasted. Best Buy’s response to this was to reschedule me for a week later; no attempt to get someone out to do the already paid for installation immediately or at least the next day. So this customer is left waiting another week, clearing my calendar again to sit at home again waiting.

The agent was really great but not knowledgeable about the new lock u had to help him with it.

I bought it to put on my door but when I brought it home and had the geek squad come they told me I couldn’t have this on my door with the lock I had I’m going to bringing this to my mothers house and have it installed on her house I love the idea I just wish they made one for other locks

The technician who cane to my home snd completed the install of my Google/Nest doorbell camera did an excellent job. He was patient snd kind snd took the tome to ensure that the product was properly installed.

I bought the geek squad text service plan when I was having door locks installed. I had no idea all of the things that they repaired. The service plan took so much off the price of the installation of the locks that it was virtually free. They also repair Appliances. I had no idea they offer that service among many others. I highly recommend the services the offer

The agent installed my device a gave me step by step instructions on how to operate it. He was friendly, professional and did his job efficiently. I would gladly recommend him to all my family and friends.

The man sent had never installed the August lock before. I opened a YouTube video that he watched before installing. He also called the August help line at least 5 times or more to get it done. He knew nothing about how the lock worked with WiFi. He even gave me misinformation. I was able to set it up correctly after he left. He did install the physical lock correctly. He was set up to fail.
