Job never got done....

Very disappointed in the experience I had with the Mastec team Best Buy outsourced the installation of my thermostat to. The tech came and attempted to install it. He was there several hours but was not able to get it to sync up. Turns out when he replaced the unit, he forgot to turn off the power and it blew a fuse on the HVAC unit. The tech left us without A/C overnight in the Florida heat. I was told I had to contact an HVAC tech and Mastec would reimburse me. I have yet to be reimbursed. I have made contact several times with the tech and his supervisor with no responses.

I ordered the Thermostat Installation service online and they gave me a window between 12-4PM for the next day. I waited for hours and around 3PM I got an automated call that I needed to call Best Buy to check the status of the installation. After 30 mins waiting on the line I spoke to someone (very rude person) to find out that they wanted to reschedule my appointment for another date/time. WHY would you wait until the last minute, if you find out in the morning you have too many appointments during the day you should tell your customer IMMEDIATELY and someone call and email the customer explaining the situation, you wasted my time. I would definitely not recommend this service and company at all, they lack in coordination, customer service and professionalism. They're a joke.

Incompetent installers and contractors

Two experiences with their installation services: both very poor.
I bought a gas stove from them installation included. After months of delay, the appointment was scheduled, the technician comes out, starts to work and then says he doesn’t have enough time. He is running behind. This job will take extra time. No planning on their part. They don’t call to reschedule. The third party contractor that Best Buy works with is very unprofessional.
Second time, scheduled them to install ecobee. The thermostat comes with parts to install if you don’t have a C-wire. The technician comes out and says he can’t install it. Could they not have checked/asked or warned at the time of scheduling the appointment?
Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend their membership. It’s a waste of money.

Scheduled a window in the morning. They rescheduled on me, the window silently moved to the afternoon. I took the day off work sat around the entire time and they stealthily came up to the door left the "sorry we missed you" tag and left. Now I can't cancel or modify the order or reschedule or do anything through the website. So as far as I can tell I just have $130 in limbo? I'm worried at this point that getting them back out will take long enough I won't be able to return the Nest to Best Buy within the 30 days.
