a little expensive, but has really helped
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a cat & a dog, the cat sheds more & creates more dust bunnies, more stuff flying around in the air and this air cleaner w/this type of filter has done well. My husband & I both smoke also, so this filter is the best choice. I have owned the air cleaner for 3 years and replace the filters every 6 months. I love that Best Buy keeps them in stock despite how long I've owned it.

I let a friend barrow it for his smokey apartment and it worked great. I brought it back to mine because of a chemical Oder and it worked but since it was an ongoing issue, it could not keep up. In short, for it's attended purpose it works fantastic. But I don't smoke or have pets, so I will stick with the regular filter for my purifier. You will notice an odd smell because of the carbon filter for a week or so when you first use it then it goes away
