Surprisingly great transfer and great atmos sound fun movie get it if you can

Gorgeous picture. His red shirt pops. The detail is superb. Huge upgrade over the blu-ray. Just a Fun escape 70s car chase buddy movie. So happy with this purchase.

Anyone I know that grew up during this time, loves this movie. I'm happy to now own Smokey and the Bandit in 4K. You should go pick up a copy for yourself.

Great movie the transfer to 4k is incredible and the sound is incredible

Thr audio is a upgrade with a “little surround” added. The image looks great in 4k. I would say its better then it was in the theater.

(This review is for the June, 2021 4K release, 4K disc only): You should already know the story. Blowhard trucker takes a rich guy's dare to pick up 400 cases of Coors in Texas and deliver it to Atlanta Speedway with the clock ticking at a time when driving mass quantities of Coors to the east was illegal. A runaway bride joins along the way. Fun and mayhem ensue. It's a fun movie to watch, and worthy of repeat viewings. OK, now the 4K technical stuff. The 4K visual remaster is clean and colorful. I am not one of those guys who sits with meters nitpicking movies. The 4K version is the best version I have seen. Sometimes with 25+ year old movies there is not a whole lot of noticeable difference between the 4K and the Blu-Ray (see: Full Metal Jacket), but this 4K is much more vivid. I think this is the best Sally Field looked on screen. That said, the biggest difference is the audio remastering. If you have a cinema-quality home theater, you are going to hear a huge improvement in quality. Jerry Reed sounds like he is singing in the same room with you. If you are a big fan of the movie (like I am) or of the actors, it's worth the full retail. Otherwise, it will be a good pickup on sale.

This classic (antique) translated really well on the projector screen with 4k. Still a great watch for fans.

One of my favorite movies from my childhood. Picture quality is so much better now.

Smokey and the Bandit 4K UHD looks absolutely amazing.

I must have seen this a zillion times back in the seventies, I lived in Alabama and this was our world. When they were filming Hooper my buddy worked in the hotel where Burt and Sally were staying, as much as I begged he would not let me sneak in and get a look at them passing through the lobby. Anyway this is a great movie, better times. Two words as to why it was so funny, Jacky Gleason. His comedic genius really lights up this movie. And the picture and sound of this 4k presentation is first rate. A must have

Silly, fun movie. Always enjoy it more than I think I will especially given the protagonist's criminal behavior without justification (unlike the Blues Brothers who were "on a mission from God").. The audio and video quality are very good, at least the best I have seen it. Streamed it in 4k not too long ago and it didn't lòok or sound this good.

Love Love Love This Movie!!! I have seen some 70s movies remastered in 4k and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between it and the original vhs release. This one though, it looks like it was made today and it's crystal clear. It's nice to see an old movie remastered correctly, it was definitely worth the purchase.

Ok, so you are thinking how good is this movie in 4K. Its a 70's movie. Actually its great. Widescreen Format done well. Sounds great. As far as the picture. I don't know how they did it but its quality. Clean, clear, and best viewing of this movie ever.

I had NEVER seen this film before, so I decided to give it a chance on the best home video format in the world, the 4K Blu-ray, and I wasn’t disappointed. The movie was very entertaining, Burt Reynolds is charming as “The Bandit”, and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment did a wonderful job on the transfer!

Product is exactly as you would expect. Works properly and has good artwork. It would be nice if it came with a DVD version as well but that's ok. No complaints. Nice to see an old good movie get remastered in a higher quality. I would recommend this to anyone that is a fan of the movie.

This is one that I never bought on DVD so I was happy when I saw it on sale. It looks beautiful on my LG C1 tv with Panasonic 4K player. I would recommend this and it’s the best that it has looked.

This movie keeps you laughing from the beginning to the end. One might be inclined to say that it is laughter served up Southern-style. This 4K version provides outstanding audio and video. A movie to be enjoyed over and over again.
