Ghost Recon Knockoff - but still GREAT!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sniper 3 is yet another open-world sniper game with massive levels along the lines of Sniper Elite and Ghost Recon. It's definitely mirroring Wildlands with its huge open world and freeform mission design, side missions, and crafting - YOU MAKE YOUR OWN BULLETS! The AI is challenging and the checkpoints are frequent so if you die you don't replay much and the mix up the soldier patterns to keep replays fresh. The drone is excellent - perhaps better than Wildlands. Sniping is super-realistic, as you have to dial in range and elevation to make the sights function properly. The game does a great job of capturing what its like to be a lone wolf sniper behind enemy lines. Make sure to bring a serious PC to this game. My 980ti card is fine for on-foot but struggles when driving. The world detail and textures are awesome and the slo-mo bullet cam is cool no matter how many times you see it.
