If you watch movies, you will recognize the talent here. The core of the story is based on a French graphic novel. The special features are informative and deep. The semi-animated prequel provides additional backstory that the movie touches on just enough to branch from. The actors are not working here for a big check but, because of the story and director. It will want you to look up the original graphic novels.

It’s got tons of sociopolitical/economic commentary, so if you’re into that stuff, you’ll appreciate it. This is not your typical scifi like Star Wars/Star Trek and other sci-fi movies with creatures from different planets, and good guys vs bad guys, and then the hero gets a gold star at an international award ceremony at the end. If you want something unconventional, an environment that pays attention to detail, and leaves you thinking about it after it’s over, you will not be disappointed.

I'm sure this movie is not known by everybody as it didn't make much at BO but it is way better than BO numbers suggest. Another post apocalyptic where there's classes of people surviving and like any the low class is trying not to be that anymore. This one is a cool concept and cool to watch everything play out. Definitely worth a watch and worth the pretty low price for a brand new blu ray release

This movie flew somewhat under the radar considering it has Chris Evans in it, a core actor in the Marvel Universe. Another great performance from Chris on an independent movie. Plenty of stylish action and scenery as the folks make their way throughout the train. Bumping it down a star because this disc doesn't come with a Digital Copy. If the trailer and synopsis has you interested check it out!

i wasn't blown away like i was expecting to be, but overall still a very effective and entertaining film. a great, classic type of story. great direction, production design, sound design, and brilliant acting. but id say expect something simpler than maybe you are. not much in the way of crazy action or mind-blowing character work, but a very interesting and thought provoking film nonetheless.

I read many reviews of this movie and they were all good, so I figured that I would check it out....And I was pleasantly surprised how good it is. Everytime I see Chris Evans, I automatically think Capt. America, but he surely separated himself from that character in this film. Very good plot and the blu ray is stunning. Glad i decided to purchase...You will not be disappointed!!!

I was not expecting this to be as good as it was. The premise of the movie is kinda silly. However the cinematography is excellent. The acting very good and it has surprising re-play-ability. (is that a real word??) After watching it several times you pick up nuances you missed in past viewing. Teh story line hold up very well even with the silly premise and multiple viewings.

Based on an acclaimed French graphic novel and from the director of the Korean film The Host, Snowpiercer is a captivating and compelling piece of cinematic Science Fiction. Distributor Harvey Weinstein tried to bury this movie. Shame on him. With a strong cast that includes Chirs Evans, John Hurt, and Tilda Swinton among others, it is easily one of the best Sci-Fi movies of 2014!

A plan by the nations to address global warming backfires and sends the entire planet into a deep freeze. The survivors live on a train which is propelled by an engine with endless fuel. The passengers on the train are divided into two classes, the haves and havenots. The havenots exists in extreme poverty while the haves enjoy an opulent lifestyle. The havenots rise up in revolt. Excellent movie with one possible forecast of the future

This film never got a wide theatrical release do to the director getting into an argument with the distributor; which is a real shame since it features an all star cast. I happened to see it on a whim at one of the few theaters that played it last summer. After just one viewing I would already put this in my top 25 movies of all time. I am so glad to finally have the Blu-Ray, as I am sure I will watch this at least once a year for many years to come!

Good movie with a lot of action and different story line than other sic-fi movies. The only complaint is that the movie presents a snap shot of a much larger story. You are left feeling like you came into the movie after an hour has already passed. By the end of the movie you are left wondering what happened before everyone got onto the train.

Uber-Boy Scout Captain America (Chris Evans) goes scruffy in this thrilling sci-fi adventure, leading an uprising of the downtrodden. In a new Ice Age, a supertrain carries the last remnants of humanity, sort of like a horizontal mega-skyscraper endlessly circling the earth. A little talky at times, but an awesome and fun ride.

It's not really hidden, but this is a story about class warfare that avoids being overly preachy. The movie is carefully crafted and visually interesting against the drab, desolate, setting that surrounds the train. Chris Evan's could have used his Captain America shield at several points during this movie. I'm guessing that Joon Ho didn't want to go through the licensing process to get permission to use the shield.

It was a good movie ,although the Storyline is rather dark and somewhat brutal.It was not a comfortable movie to watch,since it made you think about the end of the World alot.I would not recommend it for Family night.But for Adults,it had good graphics and did keep you engaged.not my cup of tea.but still 4 thumbs up.

Wanted to see this on the big screen but didnt get the chance so i snapped this one up on Blu-Ray as soon as i could...Chris Evans ( Captain America) in this futuristic thriller about a Global Warming mishap and the remainder of the human race on a self-sustaining train where the super rich are in the front and the poor are in tha back and what happens when the poor want more.

The basis of this movie is the same as a lot of other movies. Lower struggling and try to take over the upper class. The trust on this one is that it is on a train. I pretty much knew how this movie was going to end but I was still entertained. Would I buy it again? Yeah. I think I would.

Snowpiercer itself is an amazing film. Its one of my favorites of the year. But the Blu-ray is a must own. Its gorgeous in full HD, the sound is astounding, and it has a second disc dedicated to a lot of extras and features. The packaging is nice too, it has a slip cover that opens with some cool art on the inside. And its only $15 I couldn't recommend it enough.

This is a Sci-Fi movie directed by a Korean director based on a French Visual novel. In order to enjoy this movie, some plot holes must be ignored. This is enjoyable movie, but do not watch expecting something. Also, the movie features a protein jelly that looks like red bean jellies that are sold in most Asian super markets.

New slant on a dystopian society, with an extreme example of income inequality, and the dangers to the upper classes when the inevitable eruptions occur. The outstanding cast guides one quickly into a state of suspended disbelief. Some of the cinematography is breath taking.

I guess this was a limited release in theaters and had never heard of it. I seen good reviews and it sounded interesting, so I purchased it. I will not regret the purchase, because the movie was great and action packed. If you like Sci-Fi and action, I would recommend Snowpiercer.
