I am Shootergamerguy and my expierience with shooter games and movies is very great so I write these reviews. Socom U.S. Navy Seals Tactical Strike was nothing I could imagining happening to the socom franchise. I love the weapon selection with the abbility to use MI Grands and Thompson machine guns along with the cool twenty round hard hitting B.A.R. (Browning Automatic Rifle) in the modern times of this planet, Earth. The freedom of choosing from allmost any special forces squadron in the world is amazing but the thing is where is the REAL freedom in this game. You cant even move your men yourself without using a stupid reticule to designate where your men transport themselves. And what is the use of even having a sniper rifle if you just place it on your back and use the secondary weapon that you have choosen. Your men are the ones that move, fire weapons, switch weapons, do other things. You are NOT even in control of your men you can only deside the place they move to but if you are underfire and try to move that is when you move otherwise you are moving like 1 MPH crouched. What was wrong with the controls in Fireteam Bravo 1 and 2? Seriously I think that the company got brain dead or something because this isnt like a name SOCOM U.S. Navy Seals video game. This is a discrase to the Socom franchise. Dont buy it unless you really need it.

This game is terrible because you can't move around places like in the Socom Fireteam Bravo Series.The weapons and characters are fantastic though. If you are deciding to get this game,I suggest that you don't,Get either Socom Fireteam Bravo or Socom Fireteam Bravo 2,but if you already have both of these games then I guess you can get Tactical Strike.

only 4 player game online,hard to controll them. bad guns. never buy this game. socom ftb2 is awsome my favorite game in history!!

This was a huge letdown in the socom series, i own the first two which were very entertaining and a huge hit with me and my friends, but this was a sad, sad effort on the designers part. The controls are extremely confusing, and the gameplay is nowehere close to the orginal. Oh and in the online version you also control a whole squad, however the same problems are inherent, poor controls,confusing gameplay lack of entertainment.

This game doesn't allow you to have shooting abilities, at least in the beginning (haven't gotten any farther than first 10 5 minutes). You have tell your teamates where to go and what to do. It is very confusing to play the game. Maybe there is some more action on the other levels of the game. It is a huge waste of money. I was a big fan of the Socom Series, but this games stinks.

i thought it was going to be a really good game but i was wrong.the game is not worth the money so dont buy it

this game horrible and you would be wasting your money if you bought this. fireteam bravo is waaaaayyyyy better. this game you will spend hours trying to do the mission.

I am a huge Socom fan and was eagerly waiting the arrival of this new game. As soon as I opened it and started to play, I was extremely disappointed and could'nt get past the first 5 minutes. A waste of money and my time to go to the store on my lunch break to buy it.

This game rocks. I keep hearing everyone compare it to Bravo and Bravo II. Get over it, after you learn how to move your teamm around, (either individual, 2 person, or the whole team), it's great. If you utilize all the tools at your disposial, (i.e. map and compass), this game is great. I actually like the controls better than the previous SOCOM's. This game is much harder, which is great, you get your moneys worth, instead of beating the game in a couple of days and feel like you're getting ripped off.

big fan of the socom series. this poses more of a challenge on each mission, especially when you have to split the team and head in two separate directions. switching views from player to player in a gun fight leaves you vulnerable. at the sametime you have the ability to take on more than one objective and out flank the enemies; which is cool. as the title implies, "Tactical Strike" it takes skill to play and you must have a plan on each mission. for those that are incline to take their time and think about what they're doing instead of running in guns blazing, will definitely like this game.

This game is different then other socom titles. Mainly in terms of unit control, this one is more team coordinated with direct control of their actions rather then self control of action.(i.e. controlling movement by setting waypoints rather then self running, or ordering what targets to attack rather than personally aiming down the sight of your weapon.) If you want to play a run around shooter, then no this game is not for you. Otherwise this game is a blast and looks incredible.

i was hoping for this to be like ftb1, ftb2 but its not. its not a 1st person shooter, and its very confusing. i played it for 5min hated it but keept playing hoping it would get better...it didnt DONT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

This Socom game is very different from both the others. Fireteam Bravo 1 and 2 were both just you, one person, shooting and gunning down, but this Socom game seeks strategy. In this game, you control 4 people at the same time, confusing yet it's easy to get use to. You also switch from each player and thus, creating strategies. This game is VERY fun online. In infrastructure, 4 people can be in the same game, but each player has 4 characters, also making it more fun having 16 characters shooting (8 against 8). Also, this game supports a headset mic, so you and your partner can make plans/strategies together to get your opponents. If you're going to skip this game and go to Fireteam Bravo 2, expect many hackers. In this Socom, there isn't any... yet (I doubt there would be any). HOWEVER, you can download the demo for Socom Tactical Strike at the Playstation store online site for free.

I bought this game because I love the first two SOCOM games on PSP. Boy, was I disappointed. The gameplay is nothing like the previous releases and is boring and monotinous. I am sure there are folks who like strategy games, and they will likely enjoy this title, but I am into FPS gaming, and this is surely not close. Changing developers hurt the franchise on the PSP, I will not rush out and buy another SOCOM release on PSP without much research beforehand. I can only hope SOCOM isn't similarly ruined on PS# when it releases next year.

This is a very good game overall. The graphics are good. If you played Fireteam Bravo 2, the controls are a little different and take time to understand and master but the game is very fun and it's long storyline keeps you playing for more than just a few days. The only problem is you don't do the shooting, the CPU does it for you and your team members are good at certain things depending on what skill level they have in that area. The Skill levels are good and make the game fun and more compelling to keep playing because you find yourself wanting to make every member of your team good in every skill. All in all, I reccommend this game for shooting fans and deffinitely for tactical shooting fans as well. I think it's a buy.

I rushed out to get this game. I was so excited. Finally I had the game only to find it was horible. You can not even contol how you move well. You also do not get to shoot yourself. You just click on someone and a computer takes care of it from there. Do not buy this game! It is not even worth one dollar or 1 second of your life! Do not buy this game!

I was anticipating a really fun game, because I have enjoyed the other socom games so much but i was severely dissapointed.You dont really even control where you walk or when you shoot.You just set a marker where you want your team to go or what you want them to shoot and they do it.Do not buy this its a waste of money!!!

I love how everyone completely knocks this game just because it's a little different. The game play is very different from all the other Socom games but other than that it is a great game! It was very fun to play! I strongly recommend this product to anyone!!

This is one of the best games that i played on the psp and a long time the gameplay is perfect.the strategy play is superb if u are true gameplayer u will love socom tactical strike.
