Good special effects. Interesting background information on Solo character.

Stop reading here if you have an objection to it or haven't watched the movie yet. ******************** I thought the steelbook for this movie was nicely thought out for the most part. The picture of the Falcon is nice and colorful on the front but the artwork on the back was underwhelming. The interior of the steelbook has a pretty good shot of the interior of the falcon on both sides. The movie itself just didn't work for me. Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian were ok, as in fast food burger ok. The rest of the characters were forgettable at best. My biggest objection to the film was having Darth Maul make a cameo; it was ridiculous. You would think a person as powerful as the Emperor would know he's still miraculously alive even after being cut in half by Obi-Wan in Episode I. Obviously the cameo was a tip of the hat to the newer and inferior animated Clone Wars series as I'd heard they'd resurrected his character in that show. Overall, I feel this movie is worth a rental at best. It's a pretty decent steelbook but beyond that is questionable at best. Therefore, I can't recommend it.

Enjoyed the origin story about hanging solo which makes everything else make sense.

Was skeptical at first but they actually did a pretty good job with Solo

Eventually, I enjoyed this movie very much; it’s not Harrison Ford, but Alden Ehrenreich does gives a very good performance as Solo. I’m still just amazed at the picture and sound quality presented in the 4k/Dolby experience. As a life-long Star Wars fan, I pretty much enjoy all Star Wars installments, but not everyone will agree – I also enjoyed the Ewok movies (1984-85). There was a little problem with the Ultra 4k disc however. My new Sony UHD/Blu-Ray player wouldn’t read the disc? I initiated a return on-line with Best Buy, stopped by my local store and exchanged the disc without a problem – the replacement disc played without a problem. I’ve purchased several UHD Blu-Rays and never had this problem before – still not sure what the issue was, but the Best Buy exchange was hassle-free and all is well.

This movie is great and Best Buy always has a good price for newer movies.

Very happy that I picked this up and especially the one with the metal case. This movie is action packed from the beginning and is great to see key moments from Han Solo's past that were made reference to in the original series. Cinematography and special effects are nicely done without an overabundance of CG to draw away from the movie. I never read any of the books but have watched the movies since I was a little kid so I am always apprehensive with a new one since I will always compare them to the original three but this one didn't disappoint and is a great addition to my collection. I also appreciate that this version also has not only the 4K UHD and Blu-Ray versions but also the digital version so I can access it anytime I want from Movies Anywhere. Overall I am very impressed with the movie and the presentation of this set in the metal case.

I bought this to play on my 4K player and TV and the picture is amazing.

It's one of the better prequels out there. It will not disappoint.
