I watched this movie with mixed expectations. How can anyone meet the high standard of Harrison Ford in this iconic role in a franchise that has been established as the pinnacle of pop-culture? Alas, the movie does deliver on the amazing special effects, the harrowing chase scenes, and even the smug but hilarious one-liners. I enjoyed the movie immensely. There are some points that didn't resonate with me but I was able to overlook them for entertainment purposes. If you are a die-hard Star Wars fan, you should see this movie. I would say it is canon but ventures into different corners of that universe (no pun intended). It is fun, exciting, and worth the popcorn. Take off your critic's glasses and simply watch it for the fun. You will enjoy it more that way.

It was a gift from my phone and I don't know what to do

Solo is OK, not as good as the other Star Wars movies in my opinion. As one of their "anthology" movies, it answers some questions such as how did Solo obtain the Millenium Falcon, how did he meet Chewy, etc., but the story overall didn't do much for me.

While I agree that this is not the best Star Wars story and the beginning is somewhat predictable and formulaic, over all it is a fun adventure and sets the stage for more stories to bridge the gap to Ep IV. Hopefully the low margins have not killed the possibility of sequels. The film's beginning relies a little too heavily on action but quickly shifts and lets the characters drive to majority of the film. Donald Glover nails Lando and could probably carry his own film. Woody Harrelson's Beckett is fun to watch and Alden Ehrenreich captures a young Han still in the process of maturing. The rest of the supporting cast is great too. Ignore the fanboys looking for things to hate from their parents' basement. Buy/rent the film and decide for yourself.

I like how it brings us to the beginning of Han Solo.

Needed it for the collection but not one of the better Star wars movies. 4k video is ok audio is pretty good.

It’s pretty good for an origin story of Hanh Solo.

Not the best Star Wars movie but it was entertaining.

For the case, the steelbook is smooth and glossy, with good art featuring the falcon. The first one I picked up was dented, but I checked in-store as soon as it was in my hand and I had them swap it out right away. This has happened enough times with steelbooks now that it's my base practice each time I get one. For the movie, it's good, but not great. It has funny moments, but not too much humor. I think 3 things consistently with this movie. 1. It's fun, and it feels like a classic sci-fi flick without huge stakes. 2. I never saw Aldren Ehrenreich acting like Harrison Ford acting like Han Solo, he just channeled a good Solo. 3. I never saw Donald Glover acting like Billy Dee Williams acting like Lando, he just channeled a good Lando.

I thought they did a great job with the Solo movie.

Good special effects. The story was a little slow.

I know the critics didn't really care for this movie and it did change directors during filming, but I thought this film was great. The origins of Han Solo are explored and you learn a lot more about his world inside the Star Wars universe. For example Lando, Donald Glover played the part so well. And they are little things that Star Wars fans would pick up on with Chewie. It was a fun movie and has entertaining value. The reason it didn't do as well as expected, ticket sales, is because it is mostly an origin story and most people like a bigger Star Wars universe or something not specific as a movie about a certain character. Solo is worth a watch, you will enjoy it more than you think.

This is an awesome movie to watch with the family.
