...it's part of a grand universe that has been so vividly designed and realized over more than 40 years. And this film surprisingly is one of the better entries into that universe. A story no one requires, it nonetheless is both entertaining and enlightening. It moves swiftly and amusingly, much like its title character, who is brought to the screen with charm and likeability. "Solo" is yet another example that Disney's "A Star Wars Story" entries are better than their current central Trilogy.

The movie in a lot of ways was better than I expected, but at the same time, I can't help but feel that the whole movie sorta diminishes Han's transformation in the original film

Han Solo a Star Wars story I wish I could give it four and a half stars but being the only rate by a star piece four the best I can give it. Has a lot of good action the storyline is pretty basic the acting in it I thought was very well done. There is more to the story line with Han Solo then what was shown in the movie anybody who's read some of the back history on Han Solo knows that. Yeah for what it's worth this was pretty well done considering. If You're a Star Wars fan it's a good add-on to the collection hands down.

I would say this is a good movie for getting into Star Wars if you’ve never seen any of the films before. Though it was a great movie I still feel it lacked a bit in continuity with the rest of the series. Also noting that it was made with air later than the first ones in 1977. Cool to watch With a lot of great graphics. Although no one can match up to Harrison Ford. The quality of the DVD or Blu-ray and the case we’re all great for that part ! Never disappointed in the quality from Best Buy

I like and hate this movie. It's honestly shouldn't of been made but it is a fun adventure. I enjoyed see Has and Chewie but otherwise it a okay and fun space adventure.

I had very low expectations for this movie when I heard about it. Being a big Star Wars fan I had to see it in theaters. Much to my surprise I found it very fun and entertaining. It was a good action/adventure film with Star Wars branding. I thought Donald Glover as Lando was amazing. He gave a terrific performance that has me wanting to see more of him in that role. Overall, if you are looking for a fun Star Wars movie to watch then don't shun this just because it doesn't star Harrison Ford as our favorite scoundrel.

The movie itself is slightly underrated by the general audience, having said that I enjoy the movie as a breezy adventure with some decent moments. You won't find the troubled production history mentioned on the bonus features, which are plentiful considering, although we'll all be left wondering just what Ron Howard reshot and what may have been. Movie looks great on 4k, this is the way to go if you are buying Solo. A solid recommend for most Star Wars fans.

Wish it was closer to canon - but not as bad as everyone made it out to be. Disney Star Wars isn't as good as Disney Marvel and that's because of upper mgmt for each.

Saw this in the theatre when it came out and subsequently bought it on Blu-Ray as soon as it was released. I love this movie. I am a huge Star Wars fan and thought Solo was done very well. I will admit, it was hard to see anyone else playing Han (other than Harrison Ford) but if you can get past that you will enjoy this movie. Exciting to watch and it gives a really nice back story on one of Star Wars greatest characters. The Blu-Ray is great. Very nice transfer, both Video and Audio

While the movie wasn't the best in the Star Wars franchise, it was pretty enjoyable, and it provided an interesting approach to Han Solo's backstory. Alden Ehrenreich was good, but I didn't find him consistently convincing as a younger version of Harrison Ford's classic character; however, I did find that Donald Glover's performance as the younger Lando Calrissian reminded me a lot of Billy Dee Williams' performance in the older version of the role. Overall, it's a good movie, and a must for any Star Wars fan.

Most of the movie is entertaining. It gets a little boring after the first hour but then picks up again near the end. The steelbook art is decent. The downside: no 3rd-dvd disc (or bluray+dvd combo pack option in steelbook ed.) and the non-sale/regular price is a little steep if you don't have a 4K player to take advantage of the 4K disc. But if you like to collect steelbooks, are a Star Wars franchise fan, and money isn't an issue… then I recommend this item. It's a pretty good addition to any movie collection.

The only Star Wars movie I was missing. Thank You Best Buy for having it in stock. Where is my 3D version??????!!!!!!!!! The difference between 1080 and 4K can only be seen side by side. The difference between 2D and 3D is astronomical!!!! Your letting me down Best Buy....You've cut your video stock in half!! The main reason I go in your store is for my videos, I DON'T STREAM!!

The four star review is toward the plot of the movie. As far as a 4K movie is concerned I'd give the picture and sound quality a 5/5. A fun and entertaining prequel to one of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars universe. Fans of the original Star Wars will appreciate some more in depth history of Han Solo. Although in the end you'll be feeling like more should of been shown. More important details in his background of what made him the legendary Solo. I suppose that's what sequels are for haha...

In the Star Wars universe, this isn't the best but it's not as bad as Phantom Menace. This review is coming from a Star Wars fan that knows the movies and read all the books. So this movie isn't accurate as far as the Han and Chewie story goes...and other things. I think after Ford, it'd be difficult for anyone to capture and portray that Solo charm we're all used to. This actor did not at all. But the special effects and sound was great. So if you own everything Star Wars related, then you'll get this.

Saw this in theaters. Liked it, but didn't love it. Usually I'll see a Star Wars movie in theaters a few times. But this one was hard to see at times and just didn't wow me. After lots of conversations and podcasts about the movie I was excited to see it again when it released. I got the 4K version which made it much easier to see than when it was in theaters. And I enjoyed the movie much more watching it at home. The extras are nice and I love having the digital copy as well.

Quality of 4k image over XBox One S to LG TV via HDR is first rate. Packaging is convenient and love the Digital option with Movies Anywhere as always. Movie is well done, giving it some validity among the Star Wars franchise. Not quite as integral to the overall story as Rogue One, and the performances were adequate, but not the same feel of the original Trilogy for some reason.

The review summary above is directed at the physical release of the film, and not reflective of the film itself. The film is much better than the reception it received. Blame that on Disney, though, as they didn't do much to promote the film, but I'm going off on a tangent... The quality of the film is, as per Lucasfilm and Disney, excellent. The depth of the special features, especially the cast roundtable, was surprising, and very welcome. Great value for the money spent

Amazing movie. I wasn't going to watch this, it's the only Star Wars Movie I didn't see in the Theater which is a shame as I love it. I'm a old Star Wars fan and I have seen all the movies except this one on original release and most on opening night all the way back to 1977. I was shocked how good this movie is. I really wish Ron Howard Directed The Last Jedi, I'm sure it would have been a much better movie. Looking forward to Ron Directing more in the future. Hats off.

I didn't get to see this in theaters and heard a lot of bad feedback on it. But I am a Star Wars fan and watch all the movies. After all the bad I had heard, I was surprised by just how much I liked this movie. It is hard to imagine anyone in the role other than Harrison Ford, but I felt Alden did a respectable job. This really gave some great backstory to one of my favorite characters. Helped to see how he developed into the man we know and love in the original trilogy.

It’s too bad that people are not seeing Solo en masse. It’s a fun summer movie that feels like a warm blanket of original trilogy nostalgia peppered with shout outs to the animated series, Extended Universe (er... Legends) and the prequel trilogy. And it enriches Han’s final moments in the Force Awakens. It’s unfortunate that this was released so close to The Last Jedi, which many people hated or felt meh about, because I think a lot of those people might enjoy this one.
