Let go of Harrison Ford as the title character and you will have a good time with this tale. I am saddened by the fact a sequel is unlikely as they set-up several interesting plot threads which would've been further explored in subsequent films. Woody Harrelson's character deserves a prequel series of his own. Donald Glover is also a standout as Lando. I enjoyed this film far more than the ultimately depressing Rogue One film.

A lot of people were thinking this movie wasn't going to be good and not as many people went out to watch the movie when it was in theaters but it is actually a good and compelling Star Wars movie that is really underrated in my opinion. Also if you buy the blu ray, you can print out cool alternate cover art on the official Star Wars website.

I wish this would've had a 3D blu-ray or something besides packaging to add value since Best Buy is now charging premiums for steelbooks. In recent years, with 3D blu-rays dwindling, the contents of steelbooks have declined while the prices have gone up. The movie itself is fun, but the extras didn't live up to the expectations that I had. Not a lot of additional insights on the bonus disc that add to the story very much.

I enjoyed this in theaters and enjoyed it more the second time through. It's not as good as Rogue One, but it's still a good movie.

I won't review the movie except to say that my wife and I saw this is the theater and liked it quite a bit. It was even better than I remembered when we watched this at home. The 4K does provide noticeable improvements in contrast, color, and detail. Extensive and detailed reviews of the 4K vs standard Blu-Ray are widely available online. If you want to watch Solo at home then 4K is the way to go.

I really wish people would stop over-analyzing these films, sit back, take a deep breath, and just enjoy. While I can't speak for anyone who wrote, directed, produced or worked on the film, my guess is that none of them were expecting the Best Picture Oscar. Just chill out and have some fun with it. Yes, for me, Lady Proxima verges on Jar-Jar failure, but so what? It's Star Wars. Calm down people.

Watching from this from the 4K UHD Blu-ray is much better than streaming. The bit rate is better than you'll get via the internet. That means you'll see even better quality and detail in the picture. If you're a fan of Star Wars, this is a must buy. (Plus buying the movies separately is cheaper than the box set!)

There is no doubt unfortunately that Star Wars VIII (I refuse to use its name) hurt this movie. I was one of many who refused to see this in the theater because of VIII's storyline. But after some grumbling I bought this and haven't regretted it. It was better than I thought and had a good storyline. A lot has been said about this movie but in the end, Ron Howard made a great 9th inning save.

Solo a Star Wars Story is a decent movie to be watched... I mean come on it's a Star Wars movie, it's got to be half decent, right? Well, for me personally I'd put it at the bottom of the barrel. I'd rather watch Attack of the Clones than Solo. As for the case of the steel book that came with the movie, I love it. That part is phenomenal, as usual with the best buy exclusive steelbooks.

The story is pretty good. The special effects are excellent. So why didn't this movie do any better at the box office? If you ask me, it's the actor who portrays Han Solo. I just don't think he had the gravitas to pull it off. I'm glad I waited until this movie came out on disc...I would have been a bit disappointed had I gone to the theatre to see it. But I will say....it's a good, Friday night popcorn movie at home!

I was quite impressed with the actor who had to fill the shoes of Harrison Ford and thought he really captured the essence of Han Solo. i also really enjoyed the other characters, with Donald Glover stealing the scenes wjere he played Lando Calrissian and Woody Harrelson being Woody Harrelson. I just wish i could have snagged the steelbook but apparently its no longer available...

I feel like this movie killed the stand-alone "Star Wars Story" movies. It wasn't as good as Rogue One, but it was serviceable and nice to look at. There mistake was trying to find someone to look like Harrison Ford. Main guy wasn't that bad, but maybe someone with more charisma would have been better.

This is the back story for Han Solo and Chewbacca. Alden Ehrenreich isn't quite believable as a young Han, but it's an ok performance. Chewy is believable and fun to watch. It's great to see Emilia Clarke in a role outside of Game of Thrones. She deserves more such roles. The romantic attraction between droid L3 and human (Danny Glover) is weird and touching at the same time. Don't miss the great special features.

There's been a lot of apathy toward new Star Wars movies lately, but that feeling is entirely misplaced with this one. This is just what a young Han Solo SHOULD be. A mash-up of The Sting & Mission:Impossible framed by a galaxy far, far, away. There's action, humor, heists, double-crosses, terrific characters, and tons of little nods to other Star Wars moments. In short, it's a lot of FUN!

This is the story of how Han Solo came to be known as the galaxy's most notorious smuggler, how he met and became friends with Chewbacca and the beginnings of how the man became a legend. I'd say there will probably be much more of the story to come. This is a great film that anyone can enjoy. The plot, acting, photography, CGI, cast, etc... did a great job with everything. Don't miss it.

The is a good film if you enjoy the Star Wars universe and you are OK with a film that doesn’t center around a plot to blow up a large planet-destroying Orb. The 4K HDR is worth the investment if you want a picture that shames most theaters on true image quality. The acting was good and the backstory was enjoyable to see. And the audio - amazing! This is why we by surround sound systems.

Here we have the second of the Star Wars Anthology films. And a great addition to it. For whatever reason, people did not go to see Solo in the theaters in the numbers that would have been considered "Star Wars Success." But that does not change the fact that Ron Howard put together a fun little heist film. If you gave it a pass in the theater, I strongly suggest giving the Blu-Ray a try.

I recently purchased a Cambridge Audio 4K Blu-ray player, mated with a 2018 Samsung 82" QLED Q8F smart TV, and needed something to feed my 4K A/V setup. So I purchased this 4K title. The only thing missing was the marquee to hang outside. The sound and 4K HDR video in its purest form, is to die for! A space-age fantasy action movie Star War fans will enjoy for light years to come.

I was surprised to see that I wasn't very disappointed at the end of this movie. Still, my less favorite in the saga.
