After having a BAD experience with this movie at a drive in it was SUCH a thrill to actually SEE it at home! Its a great story that fills in a lot of blanks! And the BONUS material is even better then expected! Truly makes you appreciate the characters and the actors that bring them to life! Cant have too much star wars as far as I m concerned! And this is the best side story so far!

I know this movie caught a lot of flak especially after the Last Jedi came out, but this was honestly a very entertaining movie. It's separate from the Skywalker saga so it has room to do what other typical Star Wars movies couldn't. It is action packed and keeps you on your toes throughout its run time.

This UHD edition is in near top form except for an issue with overall brightness that required me to increase my HDR slider by two notches to get it to where it looks right. The sound track also needed a boost by 5 notches for it to come alive with the expected impact. Once there, however, it was a thrill a minute.

As a huge Star Wars fan, I had to get to Solo. Buying this movie was going to be my first watch since I missed it when it hit the theater. Either way, love the movie in 4K. The plot was a great back story of Han Solo. Everything you know about Han Solo from the original three Star Wars is pretty much explained in this Solo movie. Seeing the Falcon come into play and how Solo obtained it was awesome!

Solo performed porrly at the box office, but don't let that scare you away. The movie is fun and well done. Understandably some people may have gotten burnt out on Star Wars after The Last Jedi but don't let that be a reason for you to miss this. Sure, it doesn't have the "galaxy at peril" that we are used to in our Star Wars movies, but it is a nice addition to the SW universe.

So, if you've ever wondered why Han Solo is Han Solo, watch this movie. The story itself is like a pinball machine, so it will keep you on the edge of your seat, but it's not a "great" story. That said, it's not a bad story either. The visuals are obviously amazing, and there is a hint of the atmosphere created in the original movies, though it doesn't quite match it. If you like Star Wars, get it.

While I didn't have high Hope's for this one when I watched it at the cinema, Solo surpassed all expectations and delivered a fun movie that lives up to the Star Wars moniker. While the Star Wars universe could stand with or without this film, it's still a great chapter and I hope it will get sequels despite all of the backlash it suffered due to fallout from The Last Jedi.

I have been a Star Wars Fan since 1977, yes the beginning, was only 15 when it first came out and have enjoyed it ever since. This wasn't the same movie as the Han's Solo books I have read but in its own way it was Superb with a great plot, great characters and easy to follow story. Just imagine how you would act as a young Han, its rather easy and fun... Love this Movie!!!

If you are a fan of the original Star Wars you might like this one. It's an origin movie for Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Lando. The quality is great with the picture and audio. And the story is enjoyable from beginning to end. I also recommend Rogue One A Star Wars story. That one tells how the Rebels got the plans for the Deathstar.

I don't get it? This was a good film for a star wars movie! I mean, I understand the he's no Harrison Ford, but then who would be? If you just let go of that, then the film is very entertaining. I am seeing one issue with the SW movies though. They are basically throwing in the same thing from other films and changing the lines used or the space monster. I enjoyed the film all the same though. :)

So I really don’t think that Disney had to do a Solo origins story. I think now they are trying to milk the cash cow

I was very skeptical about this movie. I was originally not going to even waste my time watching it as Lando is played by Childish Gambino. I honestly did not want to give him any money. I later found out that he was not on screen much so I decided to get the movie as I do need it for my complete collection. It is very good. Emilia Clark is great. Chewy is still so awesome. It is a good movie.

Great idea but I thought it could have been a little better, felt long at times but the action scenes were good.

Solo failed in theaters because of bad press. There were so many people boycotting it because of the direction Kennedy was taking the franchise. So I waited for Blu-ray. No spoilers. I watched it three times in the first week. The light profanity was in needed and too frequent. There are so many nods to new hope it was hard to miss. Sit back and enjoy an old school ride into the Star Wars world.

Even as a die hard Star Wars movie fan I waited for this movie to come out on blu-ray as opposed to seeing it in the theater. I struggled with the idea of anyone else playing Han Solo and Lando Calrissian (Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams are iconic), but found the actors performances did the characters legacy justice. I sincerely enjoyed this movie and fit well in Star Wars movie universe.

Like the title says it really wasn't that bad as everyone said it was when it came out in theaters. There were quite a few fan service things in the film that I really enjoyed. It was pretty cool to see Han's backstory as well as some other characters. Towards the end of the movie they left some things open I'm pretty sure they said that they aren't making a sequel so that's a little confusing

I had low expectations after the other recent Star Wars movie but Solo turned out OK, I actually like it though a few spots were trying, All in all though the acting, screenplay writing, and everything else was pretty great. I must also confess to a certain fixation for Emilia Clarke... Me and a few million others I bet. :o) All in all Solo is an entertaining way to spend a few hours.

a lot of people hate this movie only because it's someone else playing Han Solo. But I didn't let that ruin my viewing experience. Yes, I grew up watching Harrison Ford play Han Solo to perfection, but Alden was playing a pre-Harrison Ford Han Solo so he made it his own while also hinting at Ford's portrayal.

For Star Wars fans this is a must see. This is Han before he meets up with Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. Very interesting to see how Solo becomes who he is during Star Wars. The movie is a bit disjointed which reflects Ron Howard taking over the director's seat midway through filming. Since you already have all of the Star Wars Blu-rays you ought to complete your collection with this one.

I don't know anyone who doesn't like Han Solo. This movie is a great backstory movie. Over all I liked the movie, as it filled in his relation with Lando, but it does poo poo a bit on former cannon material. The movie has plenty of action scenes and for the most part is lightsaber/Jedi free. While it rushes over a few points in Hans history here and there, I feel it's worth the purchase.
