This second spin-off from the main saga entries is a solid Star Wars story. The tale of young Han Solo and how he met Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian offers up some entertaining performances, great sci-fi visuals, and thrilling action sequences. Although panned by some critics, I found it to be true to the Star Wars saga and better than its reputation.

Don't let all the haters stop you from seeing this movie. Its way better than The Last Jedi. Pacing is fast with no filler parts. It was nice to see how Han and Chewie first meet. Picture is great and so is the sound. I just wish that the bonus stuff was not on a separate disc. Its hard to catch this movie on sale anywhere so if you see it for $19.99 or below grab it.

This movie was directed by somebody who actually worked with George Lucas and paid close attention to how he worked, because he himself wanted to be a director someday. I think people gave this movie a bad rap. If you’re on the fence, rent it first. I think you will want to own it after that. I’ve seen it twice and I know I’ll watch it again.

Call me crazy, but I love ALL of the Star Wars movies. I'm a purist in some regards, and I have some criticisms, but overall I greatly enjoy all of them. I had a lot of fun with this movie, and I like the backstory they've created. I think it makes sense with Han's character. I did struggle a bit to see Danaerys play a very different role, though. :) But she's good in it.

As a long time Star Wars fan I never miss a new release. This one, directed by Ron Howard, does have a slightly different feel to it, and did not receive great reviews initially. Personally, I really liked it - it provides a lot of back story on Han Solo and Chewbacca and the overall plot was entertaining.

I love Star Wars! I know a lot of people aren't fond of Star Wars and those who are don't like how the franchise has changed, but I gave this movie a chance and found it to be fun, enlightening, and unique. I bought the blu ray so I could watch it again and the digital copy is a great bonus because I can pull from my Vudu account and watch anywhere.

I felt this movie did not get a fair shake at the box office for the reviews. It is a story about Han Solo. It is a fun romp of a storyline, not to be taken seriously at all. Fans of the franchise should enjoy the brief connections to the broader universe, such as meeting Chewbacca, and obtaining the Millennium Falcon "Fair and square" from Lando.

As someone that has grown up on the Star Wars franchise and who has been pretty disappointed with everything since the original RotJ, I really liked this movie. To me, Solo and R1 did the best job of capturing the true essence of the SW universe. It's not "perfect" but if you're a SW OG, it should rekindle some of those feelings that the main films seemed to have lost.

The individual movie about Han Solo is great! It fills in even more of the Star Wars story and it is great to see the back story of the character. There are moments that make you laugh and also moments when the light bulb goes on and you link the new info about Han Solo to the storyline of the older movies. It a great fill-in-the-blanks movie.

SOLO on 4K is a must for any Star Wars fan. Only "The Last Jedi" and "Solo" are in 4K, so having the chance to watch this movie in 4K is recommended! Experience all the thrills of the movie with the best color and sound possible. You will feel like you are onboard the Falcon and flying with Chewie as you play this movie at home on your 4K player.

This was my least favorite of the Star Wars movies, but still definitely worth seeing if you are a fan.

Taking place as the backstory for Han Solo and Chewie, how do you get to Han winning his ship, the story of Han. It's...rather quite decent - it's not the best, certainly not the worst. It's on par with Rogue One - if you like that, you'll probably like Solo. If you're not a star wars fan...you probably will be entertained. Rather good stand alone back story.

When Disney announced the 3 additional "filler" movies, I was a bit skeptical, but so far so good and Solo: A Star Wars Story is no exception. This movie takes place while planets are still being taken over and the Rebellion is in it's infancy. It was also interesting how Solo met Chewy as well as Lando and how he acquired the Millennium Falcon!

Not a bad movie, but all previous Star Wars movies (Rogue One included) had two or more converging storylines while this one only has the one following Han throughout, so it feels a bit empty by comparison. I liked it overall, but as a Star Wars movie it left a lot to be desired in terms of storytelling and structure and just doesn't seem to fit in with the others.

This is an enjoyable Star Wars movie offshoot, as I call them. I think I liked Rogue One a bit more, yet this was more of a "fun" Star Wars movie. Rather fun seeing how the characters we've come to know and love in their later years are supposed to have developed in their early years. I enjoy movies for what they are - pure entertainment - and this one is just that!

Despite the negative press and reviews I found it to be entertaining and well-written. The film isn't necessary to the franchise as it's a backstory that doesn't really need to be told but fun to watch, nonetheless. Only true fans will agree. Disney does need to slow its roll though because they are simply saturating the market with this product since acquiring it.

Underrated for Star Wars, just sounds weird, though in the case of Solo, it rings true. This isn't a bad movie, on its own it is good and has some nice twists even though we know the fate to 99% of the people in the movie before hand. Plus a gorgeous steelbook with the Falcon on the cover, you can't go wrong. Well worth the worth, and buy.

Bought unseen well worth the money I have been a StarWars fan asince the beginning it gives a little bit more detail to the story behind Han Solo.Its not the best out of the bunch but it seems to add a little to the story and I love that.I would recommend to StarWars fans and beginners it might just spark there interest.Its a great franchise and hope to see more

Very happy I finally added this movie to my blu-ray collection. Loved walking in a store and picking it out myself. Hate ordering online and hoping I don't get a damaged slip cover or no slip cover. The best buy on 75th and lemont still has a great selection of dvds and blu-ray.

This film is a fun ride with good takes on several familiar characters. Give it a chance if you haven't seen it yet. Visually, it's a bit too dark otherwise the film looks great, ties into some of the extended Star Wars mythology (specifically Clone Wars), answers some questions from the old films, and is a fun ride. Good for older kids if they're into it.
