Why the mixed reviews? It is a good movie. Action packed movie. The story flows well. It thought it was great. Consistent with what George Lucas wanted in his first Star Wars movie, a movie for kids of all ages.

Not the best of worst Star Wars movie, still worth a watch.

I always had questions about the Han Solo character. This movie answered them. Would be curious if these answers were already part of the story at the beginning of the franchise, or developed for this film. Still a exciting story to help understand the big picture of Star Wars.

Although some purists may have issues with the movie, and others may have Star Wars burn out, I feel this movie was a lot of fun, with intelligent character choices. It further cemented and fleshed out the character of Han Solo, and is an enjoyable heist flick.

Seems more big movie themes are going back in time to bring you the characters and how they started or who they were. I thought we knew Solo for who he was but it seems we have to define him now to get to know him. I think I liked him the way he was. Still a good movie though.

I heard bad reviews about this, especially from Star Wars fans. Decided to purchase this since it was on sale and I have every other Star Wars films in DVD or Blu-ray. All in all, it wasn't as bad as these bad reviews state. I actually enjoyed it and better than the prequels.

Solo is a decent movie. Who doesn't love Han and Chewy? But I didn't really get into the movie as much as I would have liked. There were some funny moments, but I never really loved the story. I also didn't like the main female (Quira). Overall, it was okay but not my favorite.

If you are like me and you have seen every other Star Wars movie then you’ll have to see this one too. I think it was exactly as most people described it - good for historical purposes but not really as exciting or as good a story as some of the other movies hence only 4 stars.

This movie doesn't do justice to Han Solo's character.

I had been wanting to watch this movie so after upgrading to 4K it was an early purchase and it didn’t disappoint. Fun movie with the HD video and audio I was hoping for.

I don't care what everyone else says, this is a great movie reminiscent of the fun and style of the original trilogy. They guy playing Han embodies the character even if he isn't Harrison Ford. Donald Glover's Lando is so smooth and cool. I want more of this.

Truely a great grasp of the past exploits of Hans solo. Best story line to put chewy/Hans relationship as more than friends . This was a very entertaining movie, plus it put back into the frame of mind when I saw Star Wars for the first time. Great movie!!!!.

My first impressions of the steelbook was this was great. Would have gave it an excellent rating had it been similar to the other steelbooks. It lacks a title in the front unlike the others, a great detraction for me. A little more effort world have made this a 5 star release.

Another great movie from the Star Wars collection, I just wish that they could rekindle some of the original cinema magic that made the original films such a phenomenal theatrical presentation. Solo is great, gets into the back story of how the future Captain Solo was formed!

I heard all of the reviews for this movie when it was out in theatres. Those reviews did make me avoid seeing in the cinemas but I knew I was going to own it on 4K. This movie was not as bad as the reviews said, very enjoyable and now it is out on 4K and steelbook. Must have.

First and foremost, this isn’t going to be the Star Wars movie that blows every other Star Wars Movie away. This is a fun and entertaining Star Wars story that helps develop Han Solo’s character. So if you are looking to complete your Star Wars collection, this is a must buy!

They didn't need to make an origin movie for Han Solo and I had zero faith in it and expected to hate it. To my surprise, I thought it was pretty fun. I don't love it, but I did think it was a pretty enjoyable adventure. And young Lando is great.

Good movie overall. Chewie steals the show! Nice to be able to get a disc and digital copy. think Ron Howard made a good contribution to the Star Wars lore with a funny, self-contained story that also gives some background information and connects with the other episodes.

If you saw it in theaters then no explanation needed. If you didn't, the best advice I can give you is that this is for the fans. So if you are big into Star Wars you will love it. Otherwise it could be considered alright. Overall worth a watch at least imo.
