This is a very well designed, stylish and functional backpack. It can easily hold my 17 inch laptop, 10 inch tablet, power cords and other small peripherals (mouse, adapters) and still doesn't look or feel bulky. Overall the backpack is well padded. Specially the padding on the shoulder straps makes it comfortable to use. There are a number of pockets (two front, two side, 1 back) to hold all those small items that you need to carry. I also like the Orange color. It looks very stylish and at the same time it makes it easier to find items inside the small pockets. My old backpack has black pocket insides and I always struggle to find smaller items like USB sticks etc. The material seems to be high quality and probably is waterproof (haven't tested it yet). It comes with a 5 year warranty which I think is a good indicator of quality and the trust that Solo has in its products. Overall, I am very happy with this backpack and would definitely recommend. It easily holds all your stuff and is still very comfortable to carry. Go ahead and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Finally upgrading my backpack of 10+ years since it was finally falling apart and I'm glad to have found not only a better a replacement but another backpack that will last me another 10+ years. The Solo ambition backpack is great sized backpack with so many pockets for any of your needs. It can fit a 15 or 17 inch laptop, or honestly even bigger laptops though I doubt you'd have a laptop bigger than 17. It feels super lightweight empty and the shoulder pads are padded nicely and carrying my laptop feels nice and comfortable. I also really love the orange colored interior of the backpack, it allows you find anything super easily especially in the dark. It comes with a pocket for a tablet/ipad, two front zipper down sections, and two side zippered pockets. Zippers feel pretty solid and durable. Material itself is polyester and the stitching on the backpack is clean and neat. My only compliant is that the handle itself feels a little flimsy but other than that , I highly recommend this backpack for all your needs!

“Ambition” backpack is the perfect name for this since it is ready to help you achieve whatever it is your set out to do. The amount of pockets and the room available is enough for anyone on the go to fit all necessary things. I can easily fit one laptop with bulky power cord, tablet with keyboard attachment, action camera case along with phone/tablet charger and a college accounting text book without issues and still have space for multiple other items without it looking like carrying a hiking backpack. Besides the amount of space the backpack has nice shoulder straps which are cushioned so they don’t pinch your arms and has nice ventilation areas so you don’t sweat in the heat. Along with the straps the backpack has an area where you can attach it to a luggage when being used in travel for convenience and there is a grab handle should you choose to not put it on your back. Overall the construction of the backpack is excellent and the polyester has a nice look and feel. All of the pockets and internal padding gives me comfort knowing if I do drop the backpack my laptop wont be damaged. There was a lot of time time spend on small design things such as how the zippers close and only leave an accent of orange (subtle neon orange), this helps you see where the pouch is for the items you have stored. The orange theme continues as the the inside of the backpack is lined in the same subtle neon orange which is perfect so you don’t lose little small things you place inside. Great backpack and I can appreciate the small design elements which make owning it a pleasure.

My impression - Great Bag ! My favorite measure of any laptop backpack is - How much extra stuff can I "stuff" in it without risking damage to my work laptop and is it any good for travel. As a former IT "Road Warrior" - this fits my uses quite well. There is enough space for a chunky 17 Inch laptop, a 12-14" Tablet, an e-reader, gaming mouse, phone, wallet, keys, headphones etc... and it has a ton of room left over for various other cords, a travel battery, enough space to stuff some travel snacks with room left over for an overnigher change of clothes and a small toiletry bag. On top of all that - It fits legal size folders and pads in either large pouch. I personally don't carry much paper but this is a fit-first requirement for a lot of my coworkers as they often carry legal size briefs. Construction - Appears to be made with some kind of ripstop nylon / polyester. The stitching is nylon and all of the seams I checked are straight. The zippers are "heavy enough" with attached pulls. Similarly constructed packs I have owned in the past have survived around 1.5-2 years of hard use on the road before being replaced due to heavy wear or staining. This is both an opinion and an extreme use case - I no longer travel that much and this bag will likely outlast multiple generations of laptops and tablets I'll own to stuff it with. Overall - I am giving this bag 4 stars based on build quality and features to price. It looses as star for mediocre zippers. I have owned a ton of bags ranging in cost from $50-$300+. This is the best built large capacity backpack I have seen for well under $100.00. What I love - Good value and very well built for the price ! The inside is ORANGE! Makes it easy to find small items if they wander to the bottom. Extremely roomy and great back padding. Not so great - The zippers could be heavier. Zippers are a common fail point. No internal zipping / velco closure on storage pouches - However this is somewhat expected at the price

The Solo - Ambition Urban 17.3" Backpack has plenty of compartments almost all your items whether school, work or travel. There are Two very large padded compartments, one for your laptop, which my 15” laptop shown, drowns in. The compartment is padded on the back, front as well as the bottom giving your laptop great protection. The 2nd large compartment is the main packing area. Plenty of space for your laptop accessories, small jacket and what ever the day might require. This compartment is also padded on back, front and bottom and has a sleeve to slide it your e-reader or tablet or any other slim item you want to back separately from the main compartment. There is some extra padding on the two sides protecting all your gear. On the front side of the backpack there are an 3 additional smaller compartments. The two on top are definitely for you smaller items, such as small books, phone, laptop accessories and maybe sunglasses, however they do not offer any padded protection. I think some soft interior in the smallest front pocket would have been nice to add a little protection as well as reduce any scratching. The third front pocket in the bottom is your standard organizing pocket. Great organizing pens, notepads etc. No protection down here, but that’s pretty standard for the purpose of the compartment. The two side pockets kind of baffle me. They are the same on both sides and padded only towards the inside of the bag. Personally I wouldn’t put my sunglasses in these pockets as it offers zero protection from the outside of the bag. You can’t put very much in there. I would have rather have seen a water bottle pocket which I always carry with me on Work travel. I don’t want to store a water bottle in main compartment, which yes has plenty of room, but leaks happen and I would rather be somewhat protected having that outside the bag. On the back side of the back there is some nice padding for comfort and a back strap to slide over your luggage handles. This is nice for travel especially when you want to take a load off. Also on the back side is a hidden pocket. It is definitely hidden as it took me a while to even see it. I can fit my whole hand in there, so there is plenty of room for anything you want to be a little more secured. Overall the accents of the bag gives it a nice look. However some of those nicer to haves really has me a bit disappointed, but people have different needs and may find it a solid bag.

So I have a 17.3 inch laptop and was looking for a bag to carry it plus as much as I could pack in there for a flight to Colorado. Let me tell you… I bought this and an Alienware backpack to see which one would be better. I’m so glad I did that because I was able to see that this bag won by a landslide. My goodness the space in this bag is amazing on top of all the pockets and slots for things. You can’t go wrong with this brand since I also have another laptop bag from them and I still use both of them.

[Employee of bestbuy] Great backpack (or suitcase, really). I went on a trip on a plane with it, kept stuffing it with more stuff and never could seem to fill it. (keep your mind out of the gutter) Pros: - Huge! tons of space. - Zippers are tough and thicc - pretty comfortable and, with a computer, the backplate is rigid Cons: - Pockets could lack for some. Lots of large spaces instead of more compartements - Material seems cheaper (though this did not go into rating, because it's a hunch. I've never had a backpack with this material)

Top notch quality. I would recommend for large 17” laptops. Comfortable to wear and the extra compartments/pockets are useful for multiple items.

Excellent backpack. Spacious. Tons of pockets. Fits my 17.3” laptop with room to spare. Nice padding. Durable, good quality material. Looks sharp. I personally hate the color orange, but I still really like this backpack. Bonus: it is the perfect size for Frontier Airline’s free, personal bag. I placed it inside the sample holder they have, and it fit perfectly (when not overstuffed!).

I wasn't even in the market for a new backpack, but here we are. This was the last one on the rack in my local BB and it was marked down (30%). Recently got a MacBook Pro 16" and it was barely fitting my oversized leather messenger bag. What caught my eye was the bigness of it and capacity. I echo all the points everyone has raised. 1. Great capacity 2. Multiple storage compartments for better organizations 3. Sturdy materials The only minor cons are, but not deal breakers obviously. 1. Missing water bottle holder, but I carry my Simply | Modern tumbler everywhere and when traveling, it has it's own carrying case (thank to my lovely wife - would have never thought of it on my own) 2. In the 2 main compartments, it would have been nice to have some extra mesh sleeves, maybe even a zipper, to store other essentials (cords, drives, etc.)

Overall it is a good bag, good price for what you get. Ample storage, quality(at least right now after a few days) seems good enough. Just 2 issues: no bottle holder/mesh for water bottle and the handle at the top is woefully small, not padded, and I fell will by far be the 1st thing to fail.

High quality, I love having outer pockets being big enough to hold my mouse and earbuds and even have a big enough pocket for my charger, the design is still rigid enough to stand on its own and not collapse, being able to stuff the backpack with my gaming controllers and other accessories, and the secret pocket just adds to it

Got it because the laptop case I had before wasn't enough to hold all of the stuff I needed to carry around on a daily basis, so I picked this up on a whim, no regrets. There's a lot of space, the fabric feels good. Lotta pockets to put your stuff, and it's not that expensive. So if it's for a laptop, school, whatever's your fancy, this really does have space for what you need. Helps me carry my Ally X everything, and that thing's bulky on its own!

I bought it for work to carry extra clothes. I used it for my vacation and it surprisingly holds quite a bit. Plenty of pockets and pouches to place smaller things. So far its pretty durable.

This backpack is nice looking and well thought out. It is very comfortable to use, even when fully loaded. The padding in the laptop area is thick enough for me not to worry that my laptop will be damaged. I have a 15" laptop, and there is a bit of space around it, but it doesn't worry me, even if it were to jostle around a bit. There is also the pouch/pocket for a tablet or e-reader. This is positioned in a great spot and seems like it will do well to protect my tablet as well. There are many other little subtle features that stand out too. The padding on the part of the pack that rests against your back is very soft and comfortable as well. There is also a strap to put on top of your luggage handle, which is very useful for travel. The shoulder straps are also nicely padded and comfortable. I haven't had any discomfort wearing this pack, even for longer walks with it. I've also carried it multiple times with the single shoulder strap and it is comfortable that way as well. Pros: very nice looking, comfortable, well designed, easy to use for even long walks Cons: I honestly can't think of much I'd change on this backpack. It may be nice to have a strap for the smaller/thinner laptops that don't quite fill the entire laptop area, but it's really probably not necessary.

This pack gets right on my back, and it's more than a sack, it protects my lap, there's room for more crap, after this review, I will take a nap. Product works, swallows my HP 17" portable, power supply, mice, extra batteries, etc. Said the fish to the gator, talk to you later.
