I love the bag it has lots of room to carry my laptop, iPad, vape and my other bs. It fits my 15.6” laptop well but I can see where a 17.3” is a tight squeeze over all for 27$ I’m very happy

The perfect Tech Backpack Under $100

The Moscoe Solo Backpack from Solo New York is the perfect tech backpack for under $100. Right off the bat you will notice just how light the backpack is and once filled with all of your tech items to still be fairly light and not strainful on your back. The 24 Lt bag can hold my personal laptop, my work laptop and an ipad 10in and some noise canceling headphones in a case with ease. I do wish there was some sort of zipper pocket or some velcro on the pockets in in the main compartment for storing like laptop chargers and other miscellaneous cords, so there's not just loose in the backpack or in one of the sleeves just popping out (minor nip pick). The overall design of the Moscoe Solo Backpack is perfect for traveling and will fit perfectly under the chair on a plane. It also has a nice carrying-on strap built into the back, so you can slide it on a rolling piece of luggage when traveling. The two elastic pouches on the sides are perfect for holding phone chargers, sunglasses and water bottles for easy access. A cool security feature is a hidden zipper pocket that is built into the lower right of the back that is perfect for storing your wallet or passport when traveling. Overall I think this a great backpack for the tech enthusiast in that it has space for multiple devices and and still is super light when fully packed.

It's bigger on the inside

This is a sleek, tight, elegant bag. It doesn't have garish zippers and pouches protruding, just smooth lines, but it does have several well-designed pockets. The biggest thing that impresses me about this backpack is its capacity. First and foremost, it does indeed fit a large laptop. I have an Alienware M17 R5, a seriously big laptop, and it does indeed fit in the rear pocket and you can zip it shut. Like a glove.
It just barelÿ fits, but I'll take it! However, even with its slim profile, there's plenty of room for mouses, power adapters, cables, pens, headphones, etc. There's mesh side pockets that are deep enough to hold a water bottle or coffee thermos.
The most impressive thing about this bag was the generous cargo pocket. It is surprisingly roomy. I'm able to fit a video projector in there, or a lunchbag, a change of clothes, a bunch of books, whatever. It expands to about double its thickness.
All around, this bag is very well-made, feels really durable, and it's comfortable. Seems like it's designed for the serious traveling tech.

Durable fashion for your excess stuff

I have many backpacks and most are bought for the simple function of carrying random stuff and gear. This Moscoe Solo Backpack from Solo New York was wanted in part for the fashion in their design. Stitching and zippers look to be of higher quality. The zipper especially had no tight or binding spots, always smooth operation even when I tried to overstuff a gaming laptop inside. The rest of the materials used make for a lightweight bag with subtle, almost ghosted, camo print that runs throughout the bag. Plenty of pre-stitched locations for tablet, pens, and other small items in the main bag compartment. In addition to the small front zipper pocket for a phone, there is also a very handy zippered secret pocket on the (back) shoulder strap side for a wallet/passport. The other big compartment for laptops has plenty of padding for any regular laptop up to 17 inches. Just be aware that a gaming laptop like recent Alienware models may just barely fit and may put too much stress on the seams and zippers. Also should alert those who carry water bottles. The side panel net/mesh pocket holders will not hold much bigger than a 20oz soda/water size bottle. My regular thermal 32oz water bottle wouldn't fit without an unreasonable amount of effort.
All in. This has the fashion, utility and function for either man or woman to help get their extra stuff to the destination of choice.

First impression out of the box: This pack is LIGHT. 22.25 oz. Four zippered pockets. Two main zone. One from and one bottom rear. The main area for a laptop easily fits my mac book pro with room to spare. The laptop area zips from the top which is better than ones that zip from the side which can lead to a fall if you forget to zip it.
The other main area has eight other stitched pockets inside to easily organize your items from pads, cell phones to pens and pencils. There is a rear outside zippered pocket which just fits a full size anker battery pack. This allows you to carry your pack which your phone charging easily. Neat!
On the sided are two bottle holders that are stretchy, deep, and VERY snug fitting full size standard water bottles that are going to move at all. This is my second Solo pack. The first one only died after 6 years of daily use due to a zipper failure. However on the Code Pro the zippers appear to be far more robust. They glide up and down without any hint of resistance. I expect this pack to last even longer.
In total this is a WELL thought out pack that supports extended uses while being super lightweight.

Solo Code Pro structured 17.3 backpack is surprisingly well constructed. It has a very lightweight design. I wanted a nice backpack for weekend trips. And one for going through the airport to make it easier through TSA.
It is a nice laptop bag. It offers plenty of space for my iPad, cell phone, glasses, and wallet. It has handy organizing slots inside. A massive pocket on the side makes it easy to take your water bottle or thermos of your favorite coffee. The stitching on the bag is excellent. A well-cushioned back. And comfortable straps, so less strain on shoulders.
It is an excellent backpack, but it didn't fit my laptop. Solo stated it was a good fit up 17.3. It's more intended for something other than bulky and oversized 17-inch laptops. I could not zip the bag up. I have an HP omen, and I couldn't zip it up when I had the laptop in there.
I gave it to my wife her MacBook fits perfectly. So she carried it. It made this last trip a breeze. So not a total bummer.

The Code Backpack from Solo New York is a wonderfully light container for holding a fantastic amount of my gear. Before I got this backpack, I was rolling around a travel bag for my 17” laptop, 12” iPad Pro, power cords, adapters, BlueTooth speaker, pens, papers, and accessories. I’m very impressed I got all of this and more into the backpack. It was still comfortable to sling over my shoulder.
The backpack is made from quality materials, and the seams for the straps are built for durability. You can see from the pictures how much I was able to pack and throw in a paperback book as well.
I highly recommend the Solo New York Code Backpack. It’s a miracle bag of holding for your computer gear. I wish I had had this when I was in college.

I had been considering a backpack for several months and this was perfect for me. I had been using 2 bags to carry everything which was cumbersome to say the least. I was able to fit all of that into this 1 backpack with room to spare and would recommend.
Large enough to hold everything but still lightweight – specs indicate 24.5 litters.
Nice lightweight fabric with carry handle on tap and nicely padded/adjustable straps. Dark camo pattern on front.
2 large, zippered compartments Back compartment easily fit my 16-inch gaming laptop. Front compartment is a tad smaller than back but does expand and has several pockets to help keep accessories/pens, etc organized.
Each side has expandable mesh pockets for bottles.
There is a small, zippered compartment in front perfect for tickets, boarding pass, etc.
Backpack style allows you to have your hands and arms free.
5-year warranty.
Attachment pic shows everything I carried and there was room for more.
I look forward to many years use and recommend.

I got this backpack for a day pack while hiking/photography, overnight or long weekends, or carry-on for airline or bus excursion trips. This is very well made. I used to work at an apparel company and you can see that the stitching and materials used are excellent quality. I have never heard of this company before, but I think they made a beautiful product that is designed very well at a great price point. From the marketing, the target audience appears to be younger people (high school or college students and young developers). However, I am in my 60's and retired, so I don't intend to use this for school books or work. It is perfect for me when I need a small to medium backpack.
I have a very old 17" laptop and was very surprised to learn it does fit snugly but securely. It is the old style laptop (which you can see in the pictures) that has a number pad and HDD, so it is very thick and heavy. I would use this backpack with this laptop, but I primarily got it for my tablet and Surface. Which fit very well. There is a hidden phone pocket that is convenient and I think roomy enough for any sized phone. It's not the most stylish, but personally I like simple and basic colors, etc. It may make it less prone to theft as well.
It will hold a few days worth of clothing, books, notepads for travel, snacks, medication and all my travel materials with room to spare. My only con would be the top handle could use some more padding. If you have to carry it running through an airport, it can dig into your hand a little. But, there is a strap in the back that goes over your luggage handles. The zippers haven't snagged and the material is puncture resistant. After 6 days of use, I don't see any signs of wear and tear. It still looks great.

Design is sleek, all black. There is a pattern on the front pocket, sort of a camouflage of different sheens but it's subtle and not overpowering. The front pocket will easily hold the largest cell phone or other small items, such as glasses cases, pens, etc.
The main compartment opens from the front and is roomy enough to carry several college textbooks, business files or to serve as a carry-on bag for an airplane. There are some inner pockets inside. The inner pocket fabric (patterned like the front) is smooth black and likely will not show any stains, but feels thin and like it could possibly suffer wear and tear. The bag is under a 5 year limited warranty so hopefully it would hold up for longer than that. It could be strong but just purposely made lightweight, but I've only had this bag 2 weeks so I'm not sure about the long term durability of the inner pockets.
The main compartment opens wide enough to show all the contents and easily access everything but does not zip all the way down the sides and would not spill items inside, making it easy to open and access items in transit. Zippers seem strong, durable and move easily. They have stylish pulls with wide enough toggles to easily accommodate a luggage lock.
Straps are not overly wide but distribute weight evenly and do not cut into the shoulders.
The bag is roomy and accommodates a 17" laptop easily. Laptop compartment is padded. Overall bag is extremely light weight, with a clean, professional look that could go from sport to travel to business. This bag is versatile and will likely give years of service.
If you are seeking a classic, understated backpack that holds a laptop with plenty of additional room to spare, this is an excellent option!

--- SETUP ---
The Code Pro Backpack is ready to use upon purchase. Just remove all tags and you are set!
--- FEATURES ---
This backpack features a 17.3” laptop compartment and an internal iPad or tablet compartment. There is a backstrap that you can use to slide over the luggage handle and a mostly concealed side pocket for your phone or portable charger.
--- PERFORMANCE AND EXPECTATIONS ---
Because of the nature of my day job (educator) and my multiple side-hustles, I carry multiple backpacks daily throughout the day. I carry a backpack for my work laptop, one for my dance shoes, and one for my video content creations. This backpack is by far one of my favorite backpacks to carry, as it feels light, sturdy, and has enough pockets and thought put into it to make it very useful for my needs.
In this backpack, I carried a 17 inch laptop that I use to either game on the go or to edit images and videos. Since I am usually traveling when I need to capture video, it is important for me that the backpack doesn’t add any extra weight. The straps on the backpack are very comfortable, even after a 1 hour hike. I was able to fit my phone and my portable charger in the discrete pocket. The side pockets comfortably hold bottles of water or other preferred insulated cups. The backpack inside has a lot of organizational space. I was able to carry my laptop, the laptop charger, my tripod for my camera, a small portable speaker, my Bluetooth headphones, and my Xbox controller for when I felt like gaming.
--- APPROVAL ---
Overall, I recommend this backpack for light traveling. It is great if you plan on taking on a plane because of the luggage backstrap and it fits most larger gaming laptops.

I was previously using another brand of backpack that worked ok but once I stuff my laptop, charger, mouse and keyboard in it, things get a little tight. I'm usually coming home with paperwork as well which means even less space.
I like the Solo backpack for several reasons. There are several pockets on the front and back and sides of the back pack. Also, the way it's structured there is plenty of extra room in it to fit lots of things. Even with all the items listed above and paperwork there was some space to add other things. It's got some padding on the backside that touches your back and the straps are also very well padded. Inside the main pocket is a large area marked "TABLET" that you could fit a very large tablet in as well as several other pockets for pens and smaller items to stay separate. The back pocket is very well padded and is where I store my laptop. Seems to be the most protected part of the bag. There's a small spot big enough for a cell phone that has a vertical zipper on it that can be accessed without going in the main part of the bag.
The camo on it, isn't like real camo and you can barely make it out most of the time. It's more of a designer camo...if that's a thing.
The only negative I would have on this bag is that the water bottle pockets are too small for my 32oz water bottle. My previous bag could accommodate it. The good thing is, there's enough room on the inside for a 32 oz water bottle so that's where it is now.

Sporty, lightweight backpack for modern travelers

The Code backpack by Solo is a sporty, lightweight backpack for the modern traveler. It has a sleek design with a black camouflage lining on the front. It’s designed to fit both a 17” laptop and a tablet in their own designated pockets. The tablet pocket is inside and doesn’t have its own zipper, but it can also fit a smaller laptop. I was able to fit my 13” notebook just fine.
There are plenty of smaller pockets inside in various sizes, including pen holders. The smaller pockets seem to be most compatible with flat objects such as wallets, passports and cards. In addition, there’s a back pocket perfectly sized for a passport, phone or wallet for extra discretion, and a front pocket for things you need quickly like tickets and small documents. The capacity is 24.5L, which is enough room to fit everything you need on a quick trip or a long flight, plus there are mesh pockets on each side on the outside for water bottles or snacks.
The backpack is sturdy and built out of high quality materials, giving it a premium feel. It is lightweight, weighing only 1.4 lbs, and is comfortable to wear, even when it’s fully packed. If you’re traveling with a suitcase, you can take advantage of the strap on the back that slides over a suitcase handle. There’s also a carry handle on the top, which I personally find very useful.
I highly recommend the Solo Code to anyone looking for a stylish, roomy, practical and durable backpack.

I have really been enjoying my new laptop backpack. I switched over from my previous bag and overall, this is a big upgrade.
This bag is low profile to start. It is slim top to bottom, which I like versus by old bag which was very wide at the bottom. The code pro has many small compartments which I found very helpful. The main compartment fit all of my paperwork and documents, but would also fit a larger laptop if needed. The second compartment is where there is a padded divider, and that is where i store my 14" laptop. It is the perfect fit. There is also some pen/pencil holders in the second pocket, which are perfect for my situation. I feel that I always have everything i need when i carry this bag.
The only thing that i could say my old bag had better, was the two side pockets had zippers. The code pro has two side pockets, but they are open with some elastic to hold items in. Maybe this is a personal preference, but i much preferred to have my items secured with a zippered pocket.
Overall i love the form factor of the bag. It is very sleek and I do love the style. I highly recommend.

This is a fantastic backpack. I use it to take to work everyday and it meets all my daily needs. There is a separate padded back compartment for a laptop, which fits and protects my 17 inch Dell XPS perfectly. There are two webbed elastic pockets on the sides that are perfect for carrying a water bottle. The main compartment has a partition that you can actually fit a smaller laptop in, but I use for my tablet reader. The inside also has other partitions for pens, pencils and other things you need organization for. The main compartment has ample room for me to carry a tupperware for my lunch, my stethoscope, laptop charger, and a host of other things I carry around on a daily basis.
The padding on the straps makes for a very comfortable carry, and despite all the things I carry, it keeps things compact and tight so I'm not running into things with my backpack. I love the plain black look, and the subtle camo pattern adds just enough flair. Looks nothing like the other bleh laptop bags out there.
Highly recommend!
