    Thin but sufficient bag

The backpack is comfortable enough. The only gripe is the torso strap isn't actually long enough to be usable, and I don't have a big torso (42 chest, 34 waist). I've worn it for about an hour on my motorcycle. With the bag full and my large laptop in it, my shoulders did feel a bit like pressure points might be getting pushed on but I never had any issues (numbness, etc.). I could probably loosen the straps a bit but I prefer bags to be snug when riding so could be a personal issue. The bag holds my 17.3" MSI laptop fine, just have to pop the top over the corners after sliding it in. Anything smaller shouldn't have any issue. The mesh pocket in the front of the same section holds the fairly bulky power cord for it. The middle section is big enough to hold a mouse, my Sony sound-cancelling headphones in their case, a travel power strip, a solar phone charger (in case), and some other random cables (phone charger if needed, etc.). The pockets in it are useful for small items but I don't use them all. The little pocket on the top front of the outside I figure will be good to hold my phone, a passport, etc. while travelling if needed. The pocket inside after undoing the clip has some space, but if you have the middle area full of enough items then there won't be much room left in this one. I currently just have a couple of DVDs in there to watch on the go. The front zip pocket under the clip holds the small screwdriver I use for laptop tasks, a small flashlight, USB drive(s) if not stored in a middle section pocket, pen(s), and whatever other smaller items. I like that it has the sleeve to slide the bag over a suitcase handle behind the shoulder straps, although I haven't tried it for fit when the bag is full. It might get snug. Padding on the bottom might not be as plentiful as some others, but there is a stretch of material over the bottom to at least help make it water resistant if not waterproof. There is some padding around the computer sleeve. So long as it's not thrown around I figure it should protect the computer well enough. The interior material is yellow. Not a selling point for me but I guess it should help find items in the bottom. The patch it comes with I guess is 'cute' marketing, although I'll be changing it for something else. The bag itself does look a bit tactical, although just in general. The few Molle-type bits probably wouldn't be too useful but I'm sure they could be used for something. There is a bottle holder-type pocket on the outside on each side. They don't look like they'd hold a large bottle but I haven't tried them yet. There are also a couple of pen pockets on the outside on one side. The bag isn't as roomy as some others, but that means it's also not as bulky (especially if full). It seems fairly streamlined, and would probably do well for travelling. I reckon it should fit under a plane seat, but haven't tried (might find out in a few weeks). It should certainly fit in about any overhead bin. The only downside there is it's not TSA compliant so the laptop has to come out at security. They probably could've made it fold down in the back, but guess they figured the mesh water bottle pockets and a couple more pen holders were a better feature as those prevent the zippers from going more than halfway down either side. It has compression straps on the bottom sides, but those are probably more for looks than use since there aren't any on the top. No issues yet with the carry strap, or the shoulder strap connections. The carry strap has tabs on the side (such as one bag I have uses to un-velcro a couple water hose openings) but they're just for decoration that I can tell. Overall the bag so far seems pretty well put together and is useful. It might have a couple of points I'd prefer be better (or there at all) but I knew about those by & large before getting it by reading the description and looking at the pictures. For the price it's a pretty good laptop bag that should fit all laptops except maybe extra bulky/thick ones.

Good backpack even if you don't have 17" laptop

I picked this backpack up to replace my pervious laptop backpack with was to failing. So far I've been very happy with the way that it carries. While I'm not carrying a 17" laptop, it works very well carrying a MacBook 12" along with an IPad Pro 9.7. The MacBook fits inside of the laptop pocket inside its own padded case with a Targus lapdesk inside with it and still has room for accessories like mouse cables and alike. The pocket just in front of the laptop pocket is perfectly sized for a IPad Pro 9.7 with a Logitech Create keyboard/case. The rest of the bag has plenty of room for all the other things I carry though out a normal day. I would say that my bag probably weighs in at between 15-20 pounds which is what I was carrying in the other bag but with this one it feels like it weighs half that even on only one shoulder. The shape of this bag keeps it flat against your back so it doesn’t feel like it dragging you backwards which is a problem I had with my old one. One of the complaints I had was I didn’t like the ring/clip attachment on the outside. So I ended up replacing it with a side squeeze buckle. Not only do I think it looks better but I think it works better. I can easily open it with one hand and snap it back closed. I’ve attached a picture. If anyone is curious the buckle is a Sea to Summit 1 ½” single pin field repair buckle, so the only thing you have to cut is the metal ring, none of the webbing. Overall not perfect but a really nice bag for the price.

This Solo backpack is great. I have been having a hard time trying to find a backpack that will fit my MSI GS72 6QF (17.3) laptop. This Solo perfect for a 17.3. It has padded edges, tons of pockets, heck, I'm still finding new places to put my accessories a month later. It's stylish, I like how it looks rugged but very functional. Look no further for something that is affordable and practical!

This backpack is exactly what I needed to Corry my laptop and tablet together. It has separate compartments for each device and lots of extra compartments for other items like power cables, papers, etc. The construction of the bag is very strong and durable. I love that it is also compact so it will fit nicely under the seat in front of me on the plane when I travel. The look of the bag is awesome as well.

This is the first backpack I've owned that actually has more storage space than I need. There are pockets and compartments everywhere you could want or need them. It's very sturdy and we'll constructed. I don't feel concerned about the handle or straps coming off even when it's completely laden with all of my gear. I have no concerns about my computer when it's in this pack. The zippers, buckles and stitching are all high quality. I just took this pack on a month-long trip across the country, where it saw plenty of daily use and it's not showing the slightest signs of wear. I expect it to last a long time.

Wanted secure way to transport engineering laptop on my motorcycle. This is perfect -- simple black style, lots of pockets, rugged, not too big, not too small, and the yellow interior makes it easy to find small stuff in a hurry.

One of the arm straps on my previous backpack was beginning to detach. Wanted a comparable 17.3 in capable backpack for my gaming laptop. This one is built sturdy & has a cross-lock feature between the arm straps to more evenly distribute the weight when carrying on one arm (and avoid tearing like my previous pack). Reasonably priced, with several pouches & compartments, and handles my 17.3 in laptop comfortably along with all of my other laptop gear and more. It would be absolutely perfect if it was just a bit larger or had one more larger compartment, but it has worked great so far and feels very sturdy & durable. I definitely recommend.

I bought this backpack to replace another one that had worn out. I was looking for one with lots of pockets places to store things. This one fit the bill. It has a place for my laptop my iPad and all the accessories that go with it. I like the fact that I can store the iPad and the laptop and separate sleeves and I don't have to worry about them banging together. I also like the extra pockets for storage. It's really handy for carry-on as I need to have everything in one place that I can swing over my shoulder get on the plane and get off without any issues. The all black nature of the backpack means I can throw it on the floor of the backseat of my car and not have to worry about people seeing it because it blends in with the carpet. Overall a great Backpack One thing I had to get used to it was all of the different pouches. There was a pouch under one of the other bags that you can read and need to get in and out I have to remember which side I put my stuff in

I started a new job where I would be traveling a lot and a normal laptop bag wouldn't cut it. This bag is built very well. It has stood up to a lot of abuse already. No tears or rips. Plenty of space and pockets. Comfortable to wear as well.

Well built, with plenty of storage, without being overly bulky, expands if you need to carry more "stuff".. Was afraid it might be to big to fit under the seat of a plane, but as long as you don't overload it, no problem. Great buy for the money!
