Great story presented with clear, quality blu-ray transfer. Very dark film of good vs. evil with excellent cinematography, wardrobe and location. The main character was cast well and delivered a skilled and ruthless Solomon Kane. Graphic deaths and vivid special effects.

Very good film and worth the price of admission at $5.99. I had rented it originally, but when I saw this on the shelf at that price I could pass it up. Great score too! I wish I could have seen it in the theater originally.

While those may be deterred from this movie for the sole reason of it not being popular, this is one move you should judge by the cover (or any for that matter). This movie is entertaining and pretty sweet ! I would reccommend it to those who like dark movies, specifically it reminds me of Van Helsing and Brothers Grim mixed with Blade for some reason. It has medevil combat and some medieval action. Recommended !

A great telling of a Robert E. Howard character. The main character nails portraying Solomon Kane. Very good movie that never got a proper U.S. release as far as I know. Highly recommended.

SOLOMON KANE is easily the best adaptation of a Robert E. Howard character. John Milius' CONAN THE BARBARIAN being the only other film that even comes close. That's not to say I didn't enjoy some of the others, such as KULL. SOLOMON KANE shines on all levels--excellent script, direction and production values. James Purefoy was perfect for the role. Highly recommended!

This is a very underrated film that never saw a theatrical release in the United States. It was finally released here on Bluray and it is a quality disc with great video and audio.

This is a great Epic movie about Conflicts in a person's faith! Basically it is about how God uses people with different gifts to get His work done. The Hero is a a person, destined to hell, makes a deal with God to change his ways, to not go to hell. Then he becomes a killer to rescue a Christian, killing many more in the process! A great movie with awesome special effects!

It kind of dragged some in the middle but I liked it over all. I like movies that are for a specific time in history. I'll probably watch it a couple of times more.

Bought to see entire movie that I'd seen parts of on TV. Good adventure, good hero. Wouldn't mind seeing another movie with this character

Good movie if you are an action Junkie it fits the part. For those with great surround sound the 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio is great.

I couldn't pass this up; I watched this in Standard DVD. It was no brainer to purchase and added to my Blue Ray Collection item.

I had heard of this movie but never saw it. I had a credit at BB so I decided to buy it. It turned out to be a great gamble.

This movie has a good story, great scenery, lots of action and keeps you awake even during the slow drama scenes.

If you haven't seen it you should. Don't expect blockbuster CGI or anything , but its definitely worth watching.

Grew up loving this character and his story lines.Have always really liked this movie.It is awesome.Worth owning.
