If you're looking to transform your outdoor space into an audio oasis, look no further than the Sonance SGS 8.1 System. I recently installed this system in my large backyard (about 100 feet across), which includes a pool, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit area. The wiring process, run throughout our planters, under pavers, and into our AV rack, was well worth the effort. We strategically pointed the speakers towards the house, which has created an incredible and immersive soundscape across the entire yard. The sound quality and clarity produced by this Sonance system are simply fantastic. While it definitely has the power to "bump" when you want it to, the real magic lies in its ability to deliver rich, even sound throughout the entire backyard without needing to crank the volume. You can clearly hear the music and feel the bass from the subwoofer, all while still being able to comfortably hold a conversation with someone right next to you. This system, with its thoughtful speaker placement, has truly elevated our outdoor entertaining experience. The even sound distribution means no more blasting speakers to reach the far corners of the yard. If you value both powerful performance and nuanced sound in your outdoor audio, the Sonance SGS 8.1 system is an investment you won't regret.

Our backyard is 6700+ square feet and this system ROCKS every inch of it. The quality of the speakers is superb and the subwoofer thumps with full, clean, deep sounding bass. The SGS speakers and sub are situated around the pool and integrates beautifully with our patio system which consists of a Sonos amp, Sonos Port music streamer, 50" Insignia TV, Sonos Beam soundbar and a pair of Polk Atrium 8 SDI speakers. We have a three zone setup (pool, patio speakers, and TV soundbar) so we can listen to just one individual zone, two zones, or all three simultaneously. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I now spend more time outside than inside, rain or shine.

Absolutely outstanding backyard audio. Time consuming but easy to install, and the results exceeded expectations. The best part is that you can have low volume throughout your backyard area - no need to blast the speakers on one end of the yard so that the other side can hear it. Highly recommend.

This system sounds fantastic around my pool. I have my sonos system providing the music through the Sonance amp. The sub woofer provides solid bass and the eight distributed speakers fill the large area with evenly distributed sound. Believe me when I say this system sounds great from low to high volume. I am a promoter and all my friends are asking what is this system. Totally worth a listen if you are looking for a really nice looking and sounding system.

This brand is the best outdoor sound you will find. I have it installed in such a way that my whole pool area is emersed in sound. No matter where you walk there is seamless transition. Your sound track no longer needs to be super loud because of the coverage.

I ended up getting a second subwoofer and amp but my backyard and pool sounds like a concert hall. Fantasy

After a lot of studying, I purchased the Sonance Garden Series system for the audio portion of my outdoor renovation project. I have been thrilled beyond belief with my choice. We use this system around our pool/deck area. It is fantastic. With the distributed 8 speaker system you get a wonderful blanket of sound/music. When you have a social event, this means that people can have conversations through out the space while having a nice blanket of music surrounding them that doesn't disturb them as you don't have one area of loud music where central speakers are located. With this system, you also can have a nice level of music without disturbing the neighbors. By positioning the 8 speakers around the periphery of your yard/garden and aiming them back toward your outdoor entertainment area (away from neighbors), you get wonderful coverage and sound that is not amplified at your neighbors. It is incredible! As for installation, it is work but it's also what was expected. You have to run the speaker wire for the two channels (R+L) around the area you are installing the speakers and you have to dig a rather large hole to install the sub (which works wonders). The instructions provided are very good. I really can't say enough about the audio performance of the system. The audio performance is very impressive. Since putting this around the pool area, I was so taken with it, I have added in a MAG 4.1 system in the courtyard . As I am driving the pool area Sonance Garden system off of Sonos Port for streaming music, this creates a multi-zone system controlled by Sonos and driven by Sonance speakers.

Terrible customer support. I don't know if Best Buy offers a warranty program. You should not buy this product.

Just installed the SGS 8.1 series system in my pool area. Being someone who is very critical of sound systems, I am unbelievably happy with this system. It fills my yard with sound to include incredible bass response from the buried subwoofer. It integrated seamlessly with my Sonos system which is a pleasure to manage. If you’re looking for a solid outdoor sound system, look no further. The Magnolia team who did the install was great to work with as well, communication was great, and project was completed as promised.

Great system and great sound! Much better than having speakers blaring at the neighbors. This system is much more contained in the pool area.
