I spent a great deal of time researching and comparing in-wall speakers. The challenge is to actually audition the speakers you are considering. These are not inexpensive and I purchased without audition. No one in the area had them available, and every wall cavity and room configuration is different. Based on specs and similar Sonance speakers, I was impressed with the frequency response range, especially the low end, which is why I stepped up in price. Per the spec, the 8" driver only measures 7.25" on the face. Overall, smooth sound, low-end delivers, high to mid is tight and responsive. Spend the money and step up to these. Wish they were not made in PRC...
