slow paced not what we expected. kids do not care to watch again

A beautifully animated, well-told story, with great voice acting and a musical score to match. Some of the stories complexities maybe lost on the very young, but only to the point that it would feel like a fairy story. However, its that deep lore and saturation of symbolism that allow this to be appreciated by adults. I'm 34 years old, my g/f is 30, and we both loved it. At times, it felt almost like Studio Ghibli's story telling style (which is a good thing) but it definitely feels like its own thing, which is both fresh and unique. And can I just say that I LOVE the characterization, design, and animation of the main character Saoirse (the young girl). ADORABLE.

The animation was amazing. We all really enjoyed the movie. My daughters, age 5 and 9, were enthralled. There were definitely some tears shed at the end. The danger element/bad guy were tame enough for my timid kindergartener.

Amazing movie for kids and adults. Read reviews on the movie prior to purchasing and was very pleased.
